Mud Bay

I am a science educator that taught about animals at a collage level for over three decades and was taught something about corvid anatomy that I did not know. I am in awe of the knowledge the staff member displayed. My producers and I both agree they they are far better suited for the project I am tasked with. I can not in good conscious not pay that person a consulting fee and I am actively trying to get fired to make that happen. in awe

Both hawthorne and this location have been so helpful as first time and new dog owners. Shout out to Des and Lauren (hoping i remembered correctly) here. They helped us find the perfect harness. Our dog is VERY nervous and scared. They were so patient with her, and understood we have little knowledge about harnesses. They gave recommendations, advice, but what stood out was their mindfulness of environment. They were aware of other dogs, and things that might spook our dog. They noticed when our dog needed a break. We were able to return harnesses twice with no issues

I love this place. They can sample a lot of the food for you, and what they can’t sample out is still subject to their very generous return policy. My little guy is so picky and the staff here were very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks to the aforementioned return policy and sampling options, we found a new food at minimal expense (compared to being stuck with bags of food no one’s eating). Thanks!!

Amy and Violet at Mud Bay on Glisan in Portland have been not only exceptional but so so caring and loving. My older cat refused to eat all the foods he ate for years. They helped me pick new trial foods and were helpful, patient effective in choices. My cat actually ate what they recommended. I can’t say enough about them and Mud Bay.

What a lovely pet store! The selection is awesome and expansive. The staff was SO kind, friendly, and helpful! We were commuting via public transit and they offered us a cart to borrow for a large item we were purchasing (a cat tree that the cats adore). They also gave us a very thoughtful thank you card and some awesome treat samples for our kitties! We are for sure making this our regular shop. Thanks guys!
