(from Google)No water entry, no swimming, no wading allowed. There is a small patch of sand with lots of washed up sea weeds, but this is just a nature preserve walking trail, not a beach for people to use. Official sign labels this “nature preserve walk”. Some people come here to fish or walk their dog. Right across from an ugly old power plant with smoke stacks. Inter-coastal bay water is darker, murky, and less clear. There is a wheelchair accessible observatory tower offering nice water views.
Apollo Beach is beautiful! Plenty of free parking and clean restrooms. The beach is also beautifully maintained. It's a great way to spend the day.
