(from Google)03/29/2026 So first im gonna explain how to gain access to the hike, my first videos shows it but ill also explain. Highly recommend parking where the abandoned building is with the flowers then you walk up the hill for a few minutes and follow my video you will see a house to your right straight ahead and a long fence and thats where the path begins. Overall this hikes was really good, I instead hiked it post rain so it was EXTREMELY MUDDY. If your just trying to get to the waterfall there is a split that goes downward and a path that continues to go foward and upward be extremely careful it can be slippery, I highly advise dont go up unless you really want too. But the waterfall was really amazing to see but because it rained the current was very strong and muddy. I wanted to climb up but the rocks were very wet and didn't wanna fall. Got some really great pics of what I can beautiful flowers and of course the green all around was amazing. Just do this hike when it doesn't rain the day before
Don't go. We went whrn it was muddy. Totally miserable. I read all the directions to find a way that worked including the one 4 months ago with pictures. I found the tree with the red marker. Eventually I found a pile of rocks that were too dangerous to cross and no evidence it would help. Potentially a path had been intentionally blocked. You can maybe park 4 cars. Cans by the side of the road say "Go Home" and 'don't park here". They don't want you here. Maybe in the future they will provide guided tours for cash but until then this is a dead end.
If you have time for either this or El Yunque, go to El Yunque. This is a short but muddy hike that is quite slippery and treacherous at times. An experienced hiker should have no problems here but your grandma or mom would likely fall and get hurt. Wear shoes that can get muddy and wet. Like very muddy. It has not even rained that much recently and the mud is unavoidable and goes for a few hundred meters. I found the bottom of one person's shoe that was stuck in the mud and left behind. The swimming hole is very pleasant. After the mud parade, you take a left on a small trail. Other people mentioned a short uphill hike. There is basically no uphill. If you're going up a steep hill you're going to a different spot. There are two very steep uphill roads that go into a forested area for a km or two.
The hike does start on the side of the fence. Theres very few parking spots so good luck. Its about a 10 min hike, and the hike isnt too bad, i wore my water shoes. You can jump off the rocks but since there were no other people doing it I chickened out and only did it from the safe distance since I wasn’t too sure how deep it was however some locals said it was deep. Had a nice time here
Awesome waterfall and swimming area! We took 6 kids, ages 9-14 and we all had a wonderful time. The kids were champs and good swimmers, which is definitely necessary. We climbed up into the waterfall and swam around that little water hole too. Some other people arrived as we were leaving and they did some cliff jumping. We missed our turns 2 times, so it took longer to get there than expected. The walk out was just about 15-20 minutes. Hopefully these pics and tips will help others enjoy this little slice of heaven too.
