(from Google)Perfect day hike
To the left of the tanks off the main trail it goes up to a dry waterfall. It's a little over a mile round trip with a few short, steep, rocky places.
This is not really a trailhead but is a place where the trail is accessible. There is no signage and plenty of opportunities to make a wrong turn even when using a map. Step elevation gain which I'll call moderate but very loose rock and sand for descending so that I'd rate as more difficult. Views are great and solitude is average.
Amazing trailhead! If you are lucky you might see the infamous big horn sheep like we did. What an experience.
Good hike. It's easy at first then it gets harder later. A few rocky places and the further you go into the mountains, the easier it gets. A chill hike
