(from Google)Absolutely breathtaking views of God’s beautiful creation. I highly recommend taking the adventurous ride out here. Previous reviews made me a little worried to try driving, but it was no big deal. The 6+ miles of gravel road leading to the turn off for Snooper’s Rock was in very good shape. Logging trucks go up & down it constantly so the dirt is well packed. The 0.2 mile road leading directly to Snooper’s Rock was a little bumpy, but in no way undrivable. I have a 2WD Toyota RAV4 and we did just fine. There is a parking area at the beginning of the 0.2 mile road leading to the bluff where you can park & walk down a decline to the bluff. Or you can turn left at that parking area & drive all the way down to the bluff. There is room to fit maybe 4 vehicles down there. From there it is a one or two minute walk to the rock where you can enjoy beautiful scenic views of the Tennessee River in a horseshoe shape hugging the mountains. We brought our own folding chairs & some beef jerky to sit and enjoy. Don’t be scared! Go check it out! You won’t regret it.
Super easy walk to the rock! View was spectacular. Glad we checked it out
One of the best places to view the sunrise. Don't miss this place be there by 7.30 and you will enjoy it .. Off road Drive to almost all the way. Rough terrain road. Make sure good quality tires and breaks..
Amazing view! Great place for a romantic morning. I suggest getting there before the sun peaks the mountain to see the inverted clouds.
Follow the road right up to the rock, most vehicles will make it down the road. Just take it easy on your tires!! Absolutely breathtaking sunrise!! Bring coffee and breath away your stress!!
