(from Google)These days, I visit this place almost every late afternoon with my dogs. We walk through the wide field, avoiding the bike paths. It's even more beautiful in the late afternoon as the sun sets, making it a spot I come back to every day. Recommend this place
We love riding the bike path. It's usually pretty quiet with lots of nature to see along the way. We bike, skate, run, or OneWheel.
Saw lots of birds and had a nice walk with my wife. Have never seen the gate open.
Beautiful spot to enjoy a view of the West Eugene Wetlands, as well as the snow capped Three Sisters, off in the distance. The small parking lot offers adequate parking, three picnic tables, interpretative signs about the history and development of the prairie, along with a wide and well lit path. While enjoying the path, you can enjoy seeing ducks, geese, small songbirds, hawks, herons, and an occasional fox or two.
When I lived in Eugene I would ride this bike path almost every single day.. I live outside of town now so I only get to come here a few times a month but it’s a great spot to start your bike ride.
