(from Google)Just live this trail. Dogs very welcome, bikers , hikers joggers and walkers. Many places to stop off to fish for those that love fish down river from the water sewage plant, or even go swimming in it. Serene and quiet, with many picnic, playground and.parking.
We have a lot of fun going down there to feed the ducks. Saw some dope cormorants, too.
Ran this trail twice now and this is the better starting area in my opinion. The trail is pretty easy to follow, while there are still some intersections. As a runner that is unfamiliar with the trail, this was a more friendly section for me.
Great place to walk your dog! There are plenty of posts with poop bags and trash cans around. Be careful about letting them play in or drink the river water. Our pup got giardia from it.
I really love this area of the Jordan River Parkway Trail. I've been riding my bike from 7800 to Bangerter or so, and the trail is well maintained and has some great views, plenty of rest areas, and the people are almost always respectful. Just make sure if you're biking to always give a little "on your left" callout and don't be that tool that just blazes past everyone. This is a shared space. There's a few bumpy areas from tree roots that would be fine to walk on, but are rough on a road bike, so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
