(from Google)I brought my cat here because she was scratching her ear a lot and was prescribed antibiotics and other medication. About two weeks later, she suddenly stopped eating, drinking water, using the litter box, and tried to throw up twice. I called Banfield and explained everything. I was given an appointment for the next day, so I assumed it wasn’t an emergency. I later learned that a cat not eating for that long is very serious, and I wish I had been told to bring her in immediately or go to the ER. The day of her appointment, after her bloodwork, I got a call saying her ALT levels were extremely high and that she needed to go to the emergency vet right away. When we arrived to pick her up, the first thing we were asked was, “Who’s paying?” That was upsetting because we hadn’t even been given an update on how she was doing. After spending hours at the ER, the emergency vet asked us about the medications Banfield had prescribed. That’s when we realized we had never been given them, even though we had been charged for them. The ER staff tried calling Banfield around 15 times, but no one answered and the calls were being hung up on. We ended up having to drive back to Banfield to pick up the medication because it had been left in their refrigerator. The next day, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our cat to sleep because she was suffering, and there was no guarantee treatment would work. I’m sharing my experience because I was disappointed by the communication and the way my cat’s care was handled during such a difficult time.
Honestly annoyed at the lack of transparency I was given from this location. I originally had my kitten an appointment with the humane society to get spayed for $120. I brought her to Banfield for shots and an exam as their "first visit" is free as advertised online: which it wasn't, I was charged for the exam and the shots. They told me about this plan for $65 that would include her surgery and routine visits. I did not even sign any paperwork, yet somehow "verbally" agreed to it? When I realized, I tried cancelling and they say I'd have to pay for her visits and surgery which is about $600 more than it would have been to just stay with the humane society..or keep paying monthly for 12 months. Didn't even know it was a contract, wasn't told it was a year long, nothing. I feel scammed by that woman, she knew i had a surgery already scheduled for much cheaper. It's very obvious I'd be paying much more in the long run under this plan. My cat's annual exam is shy of $75. So why the heck am I paying $65 a MONTH?! Super shady of them.
Clean establishment, overall better than the one located in Petsmart on causeway blvd. However, service, friendliness, communication, is all borderline garbage. The only reason I still visit is bc of the wellness plan that covers the vaccines and monthly flea/heart worm meds. If you don’t mind paying for visits, vaccines and monthly flea upfront or on demand, then the wellness plan isn’t necessary at all. It’s basically just a payment plan broken up over 12 months - benefit is free visits. Once my plan is expired, I won’t be renewing, but totally worth it if you have a new puppy.
My experience was amazing because of Iona and the Sunday afternoon staff. The person at the front was so playful with my pups as well as every patient that came through the door. Iona is a dream we love her. I have had bad experiences in the past with Banfield the workers were rude or dismissive and did not seem caring. I decided to give them one more try and was so thankful to have met Iona and the Sunday team. Thank you, Athena Blu and Panda Luna mommy
Unfortunately we have to put our dog down recently it was very unexpected he had breathing issues we were able to find a same-day appointment at the Banfield Pet Hospital they took an X-ray of his lungs and saw that he had a mass pushing up on his lungs and told us he only had days so very carefully and respectfully we put him down in this Clinic. I've had to put down another dog at a different Clinic and because of the cost of cremation and collecting The Remains and everything it was so expensive at the other clinic this clinic however was very affordable we got the remains a paw print and a sympathy card from the staff. We have since got a new puppy and we are planning on bringing him to the band field hospitals for his future needs. Thank you for all your dedication to our pets these wonderful veterinarians are well-trained along with the vet assistants. they are very caring and and knowledgeable. even over the phone they helped me understand what to do with my new puppy and my old dog that passed away.
