They have taken great care of my 8 year old dog, Major. Major had surgery to remove cancer from his tail and he has done great since then. Major is very important to me as he helped me get through deployments when he was a puppy so I try to keep him healthy as I can. I like that this vet isn’t pushy with unnecessary tests and procedures like other vets I have seen in the past.

We love Cliffdale Animal. Dr Chavis has been caring for our pets for years. She treats our dogs like family and gives them the best care available. I highly recommend this vet, and their boarding services.

We followed Dr. Chavis from Central Animal Hospital when she bought the practice a few years back, despite us moving 45 minutes away - she is THAT good. We adore Dr. Chavis and the care she’s provided to our many animals over the years. She is incredibly kind, thorough, and truly cares about each and every patient who walks through the door. She is knowledgeable, reassuring, and just a wonderful provider. Her staff are all professional, kind, and seem to love what they do. Best vet clinic I have ever been to. My wife and I have been bringing our senior dogs here for a few years. The staff is always very friendly and patient. The prices are reasonable compared to other vet clinics we have been to in the past. We had to have one of our dogs put down recently. Everyone from the receptionists, assistants, to Dr. Chavis treated our dog, and my wife and I with empathy and respect. It helped make a difficult time better.

If I could give them 1000 stars I would. I had my son's dog in my care for about a year while he was deployed. I initially established care with another local vet that I had used previously. Unfortunately my son's dog was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his tail. The other vet quoted me $4500 for a tail amputation. This blew my mind. I had seen a tik tok about corporations taking over clinics, keeping the same name/clintele/reputation and price gouging. I cannot confirm if that's what happened, but, the price to me seemed insane. I uploaded Gnocchi's test results into ChatGPT, drafted a letter, and requested quotes from about 50 vets in the surrounding area. About 15 responded with actual estimates, Dr. Chavis being one. I was especially impressed with her, because she didn't just give me a ballpark figure, she did a break down of everything as well. It was significantly less than what the established vet quoted. Out of the 15 that responded, she was in the top 3 most affordable and was closest to me. I made an appointment to establish care and was seen within a week. My first impression was amazing. It's very clean and the staff was very patient with my reactive grandpuppy. Emily @ the front was great and coordinated all of our care. She even prioritized Gnocchi when she saw he was becoming stressed during one particular visit. During my first appointment, Dr. Chavis actually told me the amputation might not actually be necessary. We may be able shrink the tumor with medication, and save his tail (an option I was never given before). We started meds that day and had the surgery about 10 days later. This ended up costing me less than what the needle aspiration biopsy costed at the other vet. Months later Gnocchi is happy & healthy, living his best life on the west coast with his dad. He has healed quite nicely & I cannot thank everyone at Cliffdale Animal Hospital enough. If I ever get another puppy, this will 100% be my go to veterinarian. I recommend them to everyone I know.
