(from Google)We have been going to 71st Animal Hospital for over 20 years and have always gotten great care for our animals. Dr. Wright is awesome and the staff is very friendly. Many have been there for as long as we have been going there. They are always helpful with all needs. The addition of new Vets has increased access and all we have seen have been great.
Can’t thank them enough! My dog had been vomiting all day and just not acting himself when I got him from school at around 3pm. I knew it was going to be hard to get him seen same day but I called his regular vet who indeed did not have any availability but was told to call seventy first because they tended to have same day appts available. After explaining my dogs symptoms, they told me to just head on in and they’d see him. He was roomed right away and a care plan was made for him. After a thorough work up and care plan, we were checked out and headed to the car. In the parking lot of the vet office, my dog, who has a history of epilepsy, started to have a seizure. I ran him back inside and the whole staff jumped into action. They had him on oxygen and IV medications within minutes to stop the seizing. Of course this naturally had to happen at closing time, so they had to stick around after hours to make sure he was doing well and stable enough to go home. I really appreciate the care he received while at this vet office. Every one treated him so kindly and worked together so well under an “emergent” event. Thank you again!
On Friday, my cat appeared very sick, and this cat is my family. I had to be at work at 9:00 am, so I waited until my vet opened at 7am, after several (brief) holds which was 10 min, I explained how sick he was, and this just popped up late the night before, they advised that they were booked and could not see him. And this was the only vet office they been going to for years. So I called 71st Veterinary which is closer to my house and on the way to work, I explained to the receptionist that I had a very sick kitty, and I am new to their practice, would they be able to see him. Not only did they say sure, can you have him here at 830am? We will send you the info electronically, and just bring him in. OMG I was shocked, the same day even. When I got there, I was received with super nice people at the front desk, offered me coffee, juice, etc. the med tech Fab was so sweet, compassionate, and gentle, the Dr was a young woman who also was super with Titan. He had a super high temp, was in pain. They ran tests, XRays, and they offered to let me leave him there so I could go on to work, which took that stress off me, they assured me that they would take excellent care of him until I could arrange to come get him. And they called me through out that time to let me know what was going on. I can’t say enough about the excellent care they provided. I’m moving my dog as well to this clinic, when your fur babies are so sick, and your regular vet robotically informed you that they cannot work them in, it’s definitely time to move on. Thank you to the entire staff at 71st Veterinary clinic, now I know my fur babies are in excellent hands.
Perfect vet for fellow bunny owners!!! Dr. Clegg is an excellent exotics vet. She has been helping us this past week when our rabbit suddenly stopped eating. Dr. Clegg has extensive rabbit knowledge and gave me a great treatment plan along with many other options. I felt that I was able to pursue any tests/treatments I felt would best help my bunny. All of the other staff are very friendly, and I really appreciated Heather’s help/hospitality with our bunny as well. Not only was Seventy First able to fit my bunny in last minute (despite us never having been to them before), they fit us in multiple other times throughout the week. Our bunny is feeling much better today, and I’m confident that if we need to go back for more care, Seventy First will be ready and happy to help us. We will be taking both of our bunnies to Seventy First for all future checkups and medical needs.
I love this Pet Hospital. Our dog was deemed too aggressive at different place but Seventy First still took us as patients without hesitation they insured our dog was on a chill protocol and all staff approached him slow and quiet without a problem. Our dog had a reactive moment with the doctor and she still had compassion for him at the next appointment and took time to build his trust even after. They really care about your animals. Also they are quick at getting you at your actual appointment time, minimal waiting. Love it here.
