They aren’t as competent as they seem! Let’s start from the beginning. Our beloved Remy had been vomiting uncontrollably starting February 23nd. By the following morning we knew something was seriously wrong. So we rushed him to VCA where they preformed multiple X-rays to determine that Remy in fact did have a foreign object blockage. Once we received word that Remy was going to need an emergency extraction surgery we immediately started calling around to see who had availability. First red flag is when we called SoCal to ask if they had availability as we needed an emergency extraction surgery. They said the doctor was unfortunately unavailable at the moment so they wouldn’t be able to give us an answer as to whether they were able to take him in or not. Since this was an emergency we politely stated we’d take Remy elsewhere as this is a situation that needs immediate attention. As soon as we mentioned “elsewhere” they suddenly were able to take him in. So we rushed our beloved Remy down to SoCal to get the emergency surgery done. We called later that evening to check up on Remy as they had not reached out to us yet. They had informed us the surgery was a success and they would be needing to keep Remy for the following 2 days for after patient care. After the 2 days was up we were able to go pick Remy up. They informed us Remy wouldn’t poop for a few days but their main concern was the vomiting. Remy was home for 2 days before we had noticed something was off. March 2nd we reached back out to SoCal to inform them Remy had been vomiting, he looked off, and started acting strange. They asked us to bring Remy in. When we got there they performed an ultra sound to double check nothing was of issue with Remy. They CONFIDENTLY told us Remy looked fine and healthy and we would be alright to take him back home. They explained to us we need to keep force feeding him his medication and now food since he had been vomiting and not eating much. Within 24 hrs of Remy being back home his lungs, abdomen, and rest of his body filled with blood and other fluids. At 2:00am March 3rd Remy was rushed to VCA where we ultimately were forced to euthanize our beloved Remy. Because of this whole ordeal, their false confidence, and the thousands of dollars we spent just to ultimately have to euthanize our baby. I cannot out of good faith recommend this veterinarian clinic to anyone.

SoCal Pet Hospital is truly exceptional! From the moment we walked in, Dr. Alcorn and the entire staff treated my little girl, Lulu, with so much kindness, patience, and genuine care. It was clear right away that she wasn’t “just another appointment” — she was family. Dr. Alcorn took the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer all of my questions, and make sure Lulu was comfortable and well cared for every step of the way. The staff was warm, attentive, and incredibly compassionate, which made what could have been a stressful experience feel calm and reassuring instead. I am beyond grateful for the love and professionalism shown to Lulu. If you’re looking for a veterinary team that truly cares about your pets as much as you do, I can’t recommend SoCal Pet Hospital, Dr. Alcorn, and their amazing staff highly enough. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my precious girl! 🐶💗

Well im feeling just a little lied to. Im trying to shop around for teeth cleaning and I've been getting quotes for $1300-1500. They all want me to pay $25 for a consultation, which is fine, but I wasn't going to pay this if I knew it was too expensive from the get go. A friend told me about this vet, I gave them a call, and they said $870 over phone. I show up to the $25 consult today and the total price goes up to $1300. They said over the phone the bloodwork was included, which its not. I told them theyre dishonest and now im paying $25, which is what I was trying to avoid. They said they quoted me for a different bloodwork than what the doctor wants for teeth cleaning. This is very dishonest. I understand an estimate can vary, but they very obviously told me a lower price over the phone just to get me in the door and hand over $25.

Our experience was wonderful! There is nothing bad about this place we had a very serious ill dog that was inherited to me by my ex husband that passed a year ago. Im pretty much speechless but very pleased about there performance as well customer services all personal was amazing my son's losing there father and might be losing his dog what of been a terrible tragic experience for them as we arrived he was so dehydrated, ill none coherent just collapsing had to be carried has we were done with all questions needed to make sure he didn't have a contagious disease for precaution for other animal's before we entered the facility. Of course we couldn't add more drama in my sons lives as we decided to treat him they immediately toke care kept him over night for observation and other exams that was needed He did stay several day's on antibiotics. Its was a little pricey but not really bad for all treatment that was to help his recovery. His full recovery looks amazing!!!! 🙏 Thank you so much for us having this great clean vet hospital near our home.
