(from Google)Unfortunately they insist on rechecks and I suspect it is with the goal of increasing their charges. We had our dog seen for tracheal collapse. Apparently the doctor that saw her was a substitute, so of course they want another visit for the same issue. This is despite us letting them know we are scheduled to have a baby the next day. For something so standard and is being in such a tough situation, they were super non understanding and our poor dog has to unfortunately suffer!
I dropped my dog off at 11:30 AM today and didn’t receive a call back as of 5:30 PM so I called to inquire what the status of my dog was, and I was informed to head over. After specifically asking the associate I was speaking with whether my dog had been seen, I was informed that my dog had not even been seen during the 6 hours she was there. Upon entry, the associate simply told me what the told was without even thinking to mention any diagnosis, treatment, or post care for my pet. I had to ask for a diagnosis the associate went to the back to ask, had no notes. I waited for 5 mins for someone to come out to speak to me. When the lady came out to speak to me she didn’t know what the treatment she offered today was and had to search her computer to tell me what they did. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t even see my dog and wouldn’t reckoned this place to anyone.
Great experience 2x in one month with the staff at Banfield Oxnard! They were so accommodating with last minute bookings for my cat and helped him so much. Thank you Dr Martin and Team!
I give 4 stars for the staff at Banfield however Banfield policy if you sign up for a care plan and if your pet is euthanize, you cannot get out of the plan and still have to pay monthly. Which this happened to me..My forever dog had to be put down and I contacted Banfield but they said I still would have to pay $60 a month for the Senior plan and I cannot cancel even if I had to put my beloved dog down. So I get reminders every month regarding her wellness which is just a reminder that she is not with me anymore.
I took my cat Bella to Banfield Pet Hospital in Oxnard, CA, for her comprehensive exam. Although Bella isn't a fan of vet visits, past experiences were positive. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with Dr. Cole’s professionalism today after I raised concerns about Bella’s care. We experienced a long wait, which happens, but there was a miscommunication with the technician regarding Bella’s distress (purring and shaking). My husband watched from the doorway as she swatted and scratched the tech, who reacted inappropriately. This was frustrating for me as a pet owner. When I was informed that the appointment was over, I requested to speak with Dr. Cole privately. I expressed my concerns about Bella’s treatment and the staff's behavior, including the use of inappropriate language. Dr. Cole’s smirk in response was unacceptable and made it clear I wouldn't be returning to her. She eventually showed me Bella's chart, which noted her tendency to hiss and swat, and I acknowledged that. While I appreciated the information, it didn’t change my experience. I plan to schedule a follow-up with Dr. Martin, who I trust, ensuring Bella will be sedated for her next visit. I expect a return to the level of care I previously received.
