(from Google)Pinellas Animal Hospital takes care care of both my furry babies. They pay great attention, care, and thoughtfulness into making every visit a positive experience for them both. Thanks to them we have 2 very healthy and happy furry babies
For the last several years, Dr Alberdi continues to impress us with her knowledge & kindness. My dog has some medical issues & Alberdi consistently takes time to develop the best course of tx while also providing reassurance/understanding to the humans! There aren’t enough words to describe the gratitude we have for her being such a good support for our fur baby (and us)!
Dr Wallen is amazing. Our 10 year old lab mix ate a linear foreign body (yarn) and needed emergency surgery as confirmed at the ER in the middle of the night. Fortunately PAH was able to fit her in when I was crying on their steps at 7am. Yes, she was already an established patient. As you can see in the image, at one month out from surgery day, our girl is back to normal and her scar is almost invisible!! Truly amazing 🤩 thank you so much Dr Wallen! And staff!
I took my cat to this hospital about two years ago because he had started urinating in unusual places and breathing abnormally. These were serious behavioral and physical changes that I trusted the staff to properly investigate. Instead, I left feeling like my concerns were not fully taken seriously, and no meaningful answers were provided. Years later, I found out my cat had cancer. Looking back, I strongly believe the early warning signs of a possible neurological or serious underlying condition were missed. In my opinion, the unusual urination patterns alone should have raised red flags and led to deeper investigation into what was really happening with his health. Instead, I spent over $500 on tests and visits that ultimately provided no answers while the actual condition continued progressing untreated. I understand that veterinary medicine is not perfect and that not every diagnosis is immediate, but I expected a more thorough, attentive approach and better communication regarding possible causes and next steps. Sadly, my cat has since passed away, and I will always wonder whether earlier recognition and intervention could have changed the outcome or at least reduced his suffering. What hurts the most is feeling like my concerns as an owner were overlooked during the time when he needed help the most. I am sharing this because I do not want another pet owner to go through the same heartbreak. If you are looking for a veterinarian who pays close attention to warning signs and takes owner concerns seriously, I personally recommend Meltzer Veterinary Hospital based on my experience.
The care my dogs receive here is unmatched. They both see Dr. Spies who is incredible and truly listens to every single concern imaginable! She’s so personable with my dogs and recognize both of them each time they come in. This entire hospital is full of incredible staff. I’ve had the pleasure of having different vet techs here and there but they’ve all been absolutely amazing. We love Pinellas Animal Hospital!
