(from Google)We went in for a quick drink but after browsing thru the menu i couldn't resist trying some sushi. They have so many options and 5pm-7pm you get $5 rolls. I had the Clearwater roll and it was delicious! Service was also great, we sat at the bar and our bartender was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!
The service started a little slow... but it than became extraordinary as well as the food . We were celebrating a feiends bday. The service was fantastic..we found out it was the owners son...he knew everything inside out. Never wrote anything down. Everything exceeded our expectations. We only with the popper app was more for the $. The dinners were extraordinary. It exceeded all expectations. And dessert..wow..get the chocolate cake. I will return here ever time I'm in Clearwater. Btw, ask for Casey...
It pains me to do this because this is one of my favorite places to eat and I drive quite a ways to get there. I was immediately put off by the new 20% automatic gratuity policy. As someone who spent over 10 years in the service industry, 20% was an honor. Not a given. That being said, I expected more of an effort. Our server was nice enough, but not attentive. The food was delicious as usual. However, I was disappointed that my tuna poke bowl was 75% fried wontons. We never received a " check back" to see if we needed anything or to see if she could clear anything from the table. We needed drink refills bc we had ordered the jalapeño appetizer, which was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised to see how big the portions were for our main meals. She told us she'd bring us boxes. I was ok with that. My friend had to get up to find her to ask for refills and our to go order. Even after she dropped the check she still didn't ask of she could clear anything away, or refill our drinks. Our bill was over $100 for the 2 of us. That is not the complaint. We actually would have tipped more had she earned it. The photos included are the 2 plates of fried wontons I picked out of my meal and what was actually left to eat. The other is of the state of our table when we got up to leave.
Pretty good food. The onion rings were awesome. I was hoping my fish sandwich had the same batter, if it did, it was way over cooked. Smiley, our server was really good, but he seemed way over worked. They really needed an additional server, he was running around like crazy. The menus were peeling apart and they were out of most of their tap selection, which was really limited to begin with. Smiley didn't seem to know anything about the beta they had in cans available either. Seemed like a fun place, just not enough help.
We sat for lunch at 11:30. Our waitress was so pleasant. We sat in the bar area. The crab legs were just what I came for and they were delicious. Highly recommend them. The potato salad was decent, but I’m a potato salad snob so ignore me on that:) it was really nice. I enjoyed myself. I would definitely recommend this place.!! Oh, and if you want to catch a buzz, definitely do the rum runner……
