(from Google)This is one of my favorite CT parks. It's a good site for a photo shoot. The 360 views from the ridge are unparalleled. It's fantastic for a sunset hike!
I live in Wolcott and I drove over to this side to get some southern food. Then I ended up thinking about going to a park and I found this park, it’s pretty peaceful, everybody’s nice and has manners while passing on the trail and I saw a few animals. I saw turtles, a water snake and I got to see a bass that a man had caught. The trail itself is pretty his distance and there’s a few different routes once you’ve gone further in!! Great place for a picnic
The way leading to this place was very secluded, and there weren't a lot of people there. But the view was really pretty and seems like a place for hikers. We left when we were warned there were snakes near the lake. If you're into hiking and a more secluded place for fishing, this is your jam. There aren't any places to eat, though, and there was only one bench that I saw where you could sit by the lake.
Has really great views. Parking can be a limited on busy days. My only warning for hikers is the path up to the peak is rocky. The majority of the ground is full of rocks. If you have bad ankles or knee problems be careful.
This is an absolutely beautiful place to come to. It has a large loop trail that goes all around the reservoir and when you start walking up you can see a beautiful view from the top of the mountain. I love walking my dog here there is a nice path and you can also bring your bicycle and pets along they will absolutely love it here. I come here at least twice a year just to do the loop and it is beautiful I would definitely recommend checking this place out if nobody has already. There is a lot to see here and the water is beautiful.
