We've been going here about 6 years now. Overall the vets have been great and we've been pretty happy with the overall experience. I only took off one star because of price increases, seems to be everywhere, BUT they're still pretty reasonable and try really hard to make sure your pet is well cared for.

Expensive. I was told by them my cat had KD and to give him fluids weekly. The Doc (Dr. C) told me “if I can’t do it (at home) to bring him in and they could do it, you don’t even need an appointment, maybe just at least call ahead so they can prepare” so I was under the assumption I could bring him in and pay for fluids for them to do it. I can’t stomach it (putting a large needle into him - I tried multiple times at home myself and failed) I got charged $38 for a tech to do it. When I asked about that they talked to the Doc and he said “there must have been some miscommunication.” And they told me if a Doc has to do it because a tech is unavailable it’d be like $60! It takes them less than 10 minutes to do. Charging that price is absolutely crazy just for fluids. Over $150/month for a tech to give my cat fluids and well over $240 for a vet to do it. Even one of the receptionists up front seemed like she felt bad charging me that. The techs I’ve seen are always nice. “Here let’s charge you $40 a week because your cat is dying and we know you’ll pay it if you want him to live longer!” is how Prairie Creek makes me feel. My cat is 14 and I’ve brought him there, and only there, since he was a kitten. Seems like they want my money and don’t care about you or your pet. I did call All City Pet Care after my final visit because I cannot afford that to see what they would charge. They told me they would charge $15-$20 for fluids which seems much more reasonable.

I got home from work and my let my little chihuahua outside to go potty. Within minutes of letting her back inside, her face was starting to show signs of swelling. It was 6:15, the office closed at 7. I live pretty close to it so just decided to get in the car and bring her in, knowing I might have to bring her to the ER. I called on the way to let them know I was coming, and her face had already swollen to the point of her eyes being almost completely shut. I was beginning to have a full blown panic attack. I ran in and they helped me immediately, brought me back to a room and took her right to the doctor. Within minutes the doctor (Dr. Peterso) came back and asked if it’s okay if they give her a steroid shot and benadryl, to which I said yes please! After a while she came back and told me she was pretty confident it was a sting or bite from an insect. The entire staff was so kind to me, reassured me I did the right thing, and was just overall so insanely helpful. They took the time to explain everything and address all my concerns and questions. They told me what to look out for and that they would call in a couple days to check and make sure she’s still doing okay. The girl at the front desk even told me she’d be there tomorrow morning so to call if I had any questions or concerns and she could help me. They went above and beyond, getting me in so quick and helping me immediately. They were so kind and compassionate and understanding, there aren’t enough words to describe how grateful I am!! The swelling is almost completely gone and I am SO HAPPY I went to them. I will recommend them forever!

I had a good experience at this clinic due to affordable care. My dog received two routine vaccines and ear ointment for a total of $142 on April of 2026. The office visit was $38 alone. I was quoted $75 on the phone for getting two vaccines, but it ended up being almost $90. The check-in process was okay. The receptionist was friendly, but the process seemed unpolished. I was told I didn’t need my dog’s previous records, but the receptionist needed the exact expiration date, so I had to find them elsewhere. There were two receptionists at the same desk, so it was difficult to pay while another guest checked in because our dogs wanted to interact. The recently remodeled facility was clean. The vet was friendly and competent with handling a nervous dog.

I have been taking all my fur-babies (dogs, cats and even a 4h rabbit) to Dr. Carr and staff for YEARS! Very knowledgeable, friendly and caring staff! 1000% recommend to anybody that asks me... or doesnt ask me :)
