From the initial message from this practice, I have been impressed. They reached out to me very quickly after our referral, and provided an estimate for an intake visit. I was then asked if I wanted to move forward with an appointment. Dr. Bauer and Melissa are great to deal with. They are warm, friendly , and caring. The communication during and after my pet's visit was clear. I was given a temporary treatment plan to get my pet comfortable while we wait for lab results. This is my first experience with a veterinary specialist. The service and care has been first class.

Took my little guy, Churro, in to get tested for allergies. The staff were all very kind and I could tell Churro felt comfortable around them and loved! They removed a lump he had near his chest as well while he was under sedation for his allergy test, which turned out to be benign. When I picked him up later they went over his test results and educated me on how to best deal with his allergens. I look forward to working with them in the future for anything my little guy needs when it comes to his allergies. :)

World-Class Veterinary Dermatology with Expertise, Compassion, and Trust As someone who approaches important decisions with thorough research and care, I feel incredibly confident entrusting my fur-baby, Matzo Ball, to Dr. Cynthia Bauer for his upcoming dermatologic procedure this Monday. Even before treatment begins, her depth of expertise, clarity, and calm confidence have given me complete peace of mind. Dr. Bauer earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with honors from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Specialists of South Florida. She was then accepted into a highly competitive four-year dermatology residency and master’s program at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, completing her residency in 2010 and earning a Master of Science specializing in Veterinary Dermatopathology. She achieved Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 2011 — a distinction that reflects the highest level of expertise in the field. Dr. Bauer has also contributed meaningfully to veterinary medicine through research, authoring a study using only client-owned, volunteered pets to help improve skin testing for animals suffering from environmental allergies. Her clinical interests — including infectious skin diseases, ear disease, and allergic skin conditions in dogs and cats — are evident in her thoughtful, precise approach. She has also served as a visiting professor of dermatology at St. Matthews University School of Veterinary Medicine since 2012, further underscoring her commitment to excellence and education. What truly sets this practice apart, however, is the compassion. Dr. Bauer and her technician, Lauren, connected so lovingly with Matzo Ball — seeing him not just as a case, but as the special little soul he is. That warmth, paired with such elite credentials, is incredibly reassuring as a pet parent. I could not feel more confident in Dr. Bauer’s care and treatment plan. She represents the very best of veterinary dermatology, and I’m deeply grateful Matzo Ball is in her hands. — Renée M. Grossman

New patient to this practice but have been seeing a dermatology vet in another state. The transfer was seamless and the vet was prepared to see us and had read all the records. All staff were helpful and friendly. A very pleasant experience throughout. Both the vet and the vet tech were great! They worked well with my dog and put him at ease. The vet had read the previous medical records and we had a good conversation about status and next steps.

Not sure where we would be without Dr. Bauer. We were at a loss until we finally went to her to unfortunately diagnosed our Sweet Willow with SA. We highly recommend ADC to solve issues and genuinely love your fur baby! Everyone has been great and genuine.
