(from Google)There are so many good hiking trails to choose from and there's a great variety. South mountain has anything from difficult/challenging to easy. On the weekends during popular times it gets super busy so expect to park your vehicle farther. You may have a bit of a walk before you even hit the trail but I think it's worth it. If you're willing to do the climb, some of the trails have absolutely gorgeous views of Phoenix and the surrounding area. The climb isn't as challenging as Camelback and you may find it more accessible for the view.
I have been hiking South Mountain for decades. It is a beautiful park with dozens of trails. This spot has always had plenty of parking, and is not just the right level for my kids to get a good workout.
Slightly difficult depending on how far you go. Definitely a great work out. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Beautiful sunsets. You can take hikes up or around the mountains.
Climbed to the top and such an amazing and beautiful view. Trails are easy they just need to add some markers or make the trails better to see from the top
Lots of trails that meet at several points. Sort of like pick your own adventure. There are lots of verticals if you want to climb and also a trail that loops around the base of you are looking for something flat/easier. Think of all the trails as large loops that eventually lead back to the parking lot.
