(from Google)In town visiting a friend who’s a regular here and had been talking up Casa Azul the whole weekend. She warned us plenty about wait times so we planned our morning expecting the 45 minute wait though the line to order was really quick. Her banoffee latte and my dulce de leche macchiato was perfectly delicious and smooth (I got light syrup). The churro on top is also such a nice touch. This is not fast chain coffee but exactly the kind of coffee you want on a slow morning. I had a sense the staff may have been a bit tense with the rush but they were nice, especially when drinks come out out of order and people come up asking for theirs, and also wonder if ordering on an iPad stand instead of the small work area between their counter and fridge could help give them some breathing room. We were able to snag a couple seats in the shade too, and they brought out a fan for the heat. I’d recommend for good coffee and good people if you’re not in a rush! Would love to try churros next time :)
THE BEST COFFEE, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AESTHETIC in TAMPA BAY. I drive 20 mins to get my coffee from these incredible people 3-4 times a week, that’s how GREAT this place is. It’s worth it!!!! They’re having a little difficulty with their hours at the moment outside of their control but I can’t wait to see what’s next for this crew!!! I’m met every single time with a smile, my name constantly repeated back to me (which is so rare these days) and a churro on my drink (which is MADE EXACTLY THE SAME EACH VISIT!!! Not like those green logo ppl) Do your self a favor and stop by, Support local business, enjoy a coffee and a smile! ♥️♥️♥️
It was my first time at Casa Azul while visiting my cousin, and she took me there and wow, I completely fell in love with this place. The dulce de leche coffee was amazing, the churros were perfectly crispy and sweet, and the burrito was absolutely delicious. Everyone was super friendly, but Ryan really stood out he took my order and was so welcoming and helpful. On top of that, the owners Carlos and Gabby were super nice and friendly people, which really made the experience even better. You can tell this place truly cares about their customers. I’m so glad my cousin brought me here, and I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Tampa again! 🤍🤍🤍
Given the reviews, I was expecting phenomenal coffee and food. Unfortunately, I didn’t have that experience. The chorizo burrito was just okay, and the coffee - it wasn’t bad, but it seemed watery and like it could have definitely had more espresso in it. The SERVICE and the overall atmosphere of the place - 10/10. The baristas are so kind, and that is why I still gave this a 4/5 stars. The service was 5/5. I would go back simply just because of the service. But the coffee and the food was just ‘meh’
I had an awesome experience at Casa Azul in Tampa. I ordered the maple brown sugar latte and it was seriously one of the best lattes I’ve ever had—they completely nailed the flavor. I also got the churro bites with the Nutella dip and the burrito, and both were great. The churro bites were warm, fluffy, and not overly sweet, which I loved. The burrito had a nice crunch and really good flavor all the way through. Overall, everything tasted fresh and well-made. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone in the area.
