I started at Erin Noble Headwaters, not even planning on a hike at all. But the beauty of the trees and the call of adventure drew me on. At first, I only intended to walk a little ways, then a little ways more, and lastly a little ways more. I ended up at Blanton Ridge Park and was glad I had pursued that spontaneous journey. Everyone was friendly and said hi, and several dogs were enjoying it as well. This hike is a definite must!

The parking lot is well maintained. It has a trash can and a porta potty that wasn't bad. Can be steep going up and down, wouldn't recommend for young kids. Trail is narrow. During rainy season, there will be water on the trail.

It's a gently rolling out-and-back trail with moderate inclines and declines. While not a particularly difficult course, walking through the wooded areas felt refreshing. Although the path is somewhat narrower compared to other Ridgeline trails, it's still a recommended spot.

My wife and I are not athletic hikers but enjoy the Ridgeline Trails. (Its considered a moderate trail) These photos are from a hike on Thanksgiving Day in 2020. Like the other Ridge Trails we found this one to be beautiful and manageable. It features a 1.8 mile hiking-only trail between Willamette Street and Blanton Road that follows the east side of Blanton Ridge. Hikers pass through oak woodlands, prairies and Douglas-fir forest. This particular trail offers winter views of downtown Eugene and Mt. Baldy.

Love this trail, very nicely shaded through a lot of it. Very easy walking and very senic atmosphere. I highly recommend this for some beautiful walking and great exercise.
