The staff at St. Michael's are wonderful. I had a same day need and they made space for us on a Friday at 3:30 pm. That was very much appreciated. The technicians were professional and also very kind. All the needs were explained and our pet was very well cared for.

I love taking both of my small dogs to St. Michael's. The staff and vets are extremely friendly and care about the animals they care for. They follow up with you next day after surgery or procedure to see how your pet is doing.

I was able to get a same day appointment for my dog who was having some intestinal issues. The tech and doctor listened and and took some tests and discovered some bad bacteria. They explained what was going on and the options I had to remedy the problem with no pressure. I felt very comfortable with their attention and diagnosis. They showed care and concern to ensure I understood his health. I'm glad I chose this animal hospital.

Had to lay my 1st pup to rest after 16 years, The staff and Dr Patten made the transition very personable , treated me and my pup like family, and I received a card from each staff member with a personal message. Amazing Facility! I recommend St. Michaels to everyone who loves their furry child! If I could do 10 stars I would Thank you so much Dr Patten and your staff for everything!

We took our new puppy Finn to see Dr. Kersey Wahlquist on December 26, 2024. We had just gotten him a few days ago (Christmas Eve) and wanted to get him updated on shots and care immediately as he has had no prior care. We were greeted by Dr. Kersey and even though she presented as friendly there was an underlying attitude of passive aggressiveness and very condescending towards me. I asked for his rabies vaccine since he was born August 9, 2024 making him 20 weeks old and she said he was too young, and I talked about him getting neutered at 6 months and she said she would not do it until he was a year old. Both of these things are standard everywhere and also listed on their website for core care. Why a veterinarian has a different core care than their hospital standard is beyond me. When my son pressed on the rabies vaccine (he is in a college veterinary class at 16) knowing Finn is old enough and wanting him to have his first groom which is important to get him socialized with a groomer she replied very annoyed and again condescending to my son, “why can’t you bathe him at home?” I will be looking for another veterinarian office unfortunately because of this individual. I should not have to explain or defend why I would want to get a husky established and socialized with a groomer. I am very disappointed because I was recommended by my cousin to go here for my other animals after I moved here from Virginia when I retired from the military. I can’t go to a place where their own doctor creates their own standard and would treat my child like that when he was just excited to take his new puppy to his first vet visit and grooming appointment the next day. Which we have to cancel because she refused to give him the rabies shot because according to her he is too young. Which most puppies receive rabies at 16 weeks and he is 20 weeks. I wish I could put zero stars. This is unfortunate because I have two other cats and a German Shepherd Alaskan husky mix that would have become patients as well, and I am typically die hard loyal to my vet, but this place will not earn another penny from me and I’ll be sure to let my family and friends know how we were treated. ~Update~Dec 27, 2024. I went to Sheep’s Draw Veterinary Clinic and I highly recommend to everyone. We got his Rabies shot today that Dr. Kersey from ST. Michaels refused to give, the veterinarian corrected misinformation written about our puppy. He in fact is not emaciated like the vet said at St. Micheal’s and scheduled his Neuter for when he is 6 months in February. St. Michael’s did call back about fecal lab results in which I told the wonderful Veterinarian Assistant that he could forward it to Sheep’s Draw and that I will not be coming back due to that horrible Veterinarian they have there. Below is a picture of Finn and pictures from the St. Micheal’s Veterinarian Hospital website showing their core care standard that this Dr. Kersey did not follow that was very easy for another veterinarian clinic to do the next day.
