Bay Paws Pet Resort - Clearwater

I love Bay Paws Pet Resort. I know weather I'm sending my pup Charlie there for a day of play, a bath or a weekend away she's in the best hands. The staff always makes me feel welcome when I walk in and they're always excited to see Charlie. I love how clean the facility is when you walk in and it doesn't feel like a boarder. Prior to finding Bay Paws I went to a different boarder in the area and I thought it was normal for it to smell like dogs and have the sounds of barking the entire time. At Bay Paws that is not the case. My dog use to come home with no voice and lethargic and I thought that was just part of boarding your pet. Having access to the camera feeds is such a plus, because I know I can pop on at any time and see her. They are also so accommodating. My parents dog was much older and did not like to be alone so we were able to board my dog and theirs together in the same suite when we would go away as a family. My dog has separation anxiety from me and when she is there that anxiety goes away once she goes through the doors. She always has a blast and I am able to see that on the camera. She has also been going to Jamie for grooming her entire life and I wouldn't go to anyone else for that because she ALWAYS looks amazing when I pick her up. If I could give Pay Paws 100 stars I would because they truly are the best.

I boarded my senior french bulldog with Bay Paws in April 2026 and it was truly such a great experience. I haven't boarded our dog for years because he has health issues and in his senior years I just haven't felt comfortable leaving him. He also has separation anxiety. We had a funeral we unexpectedly had to leave the state for so we had no choice but to board him and my vet recommended Bay Paws. Bay Paws was so welcoming and helpful in answering all my questions. The 24/7 cameras to the room are a great addition. I loved being able to check on him. Our dog seemed very relaxed the whole time he was there and seemed to have gotten lots of potty breaks and love. His kennel stayed spotless and I even noticed they gave him a few extra blankets for comfort. Will definitely be using them again if we need to. Thank you Bay Paws!

Bay Paws is wonderful. My pup loves going there and you can tell he is well cared for. I receive texts and emails about anything that is going on while he’s at daycare and we receive report cards about how he did each time. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming and they know each pet that comes in. You can really tell they love their job and the animals they look after!

I brought my dog in for a re-test evaluation day after being told on the phone the day before that this would be a free day. However, when I picked her up, I was unexpectedly charged. That was frustrating, but unfortunately it wasn’t even the worst part of the experience. I dropped her off at 8:15am and picked her up at 5:20pm. The moment I saw her, I noticed her backside was covered in dried, matted feces stuck in her fur. It was not a small spot — it was clearly something that had been there for a significant amount of time. There is no way this happened right before pickup. This means she was left sitting with feces on her for hours without anyone noticing or taking care of it. I don’t know whether it was her own waste or another dog’s that she may have sat in, which raises even more concern about cleanliness and supervision. Either way, it is completely unacceptable. Basic hygiene and monitoring should be a minimum standard at any dog daycare. I trusted this facility to properly supervise and care for my dog, and leaving her all day in that condition shows a serious lack of attention and care. I’m extremely disappointed.

I boarded my puppy Cooper at Bay Paws Clearwater for 10 nights while I traveled international. He did doggy day care and did some enrichment sessions. He also had a pup cup each day. He did very well and the staff took great care of him. They even sent picture updates of him having his pup cups. The cameras work great and I was able to check in at anytime to see how he was doing. I highly recommend Bay Paws if you are looking for a place to board your pet. Thank you to the Bay Paws team for taking such great care of my puppy.
