Cameron Animal Hospital

This vet does a really great job caring for animals. They’re kind, patient, and you can tell they truly care about the work they do. It never feels rushed, and they take the time to make sure animals are comfortable and well cared for. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet who is not only skilled, but genuinely compassionate and dependable.

We’ve been bringing our pets to Cameron Animal Hospital for the past 17 years, and every single experience has been a good one. The vets and staff truly care, not just about the animals, but about the families who love them. We’ve trusted them through routine visits, health concerns, and adoptions, and they’ve always treated us with kindness and professionalism. We’ve also adopted through them, and while their screening process is thorough and can take time, we genuinely believe that’s a good thing. They work hard to make sure each animal is placed in the right home, and that level of care and responsibility matters. Not everyone loves a long process, but in the end, it’s about doing what’s best for the animals. We’re grateful for the consistent care and dedication they’ve shown our family for nearly two decades. Highly recommend.

We have been going to Dr. Cameron for over 35 years. All I can say is he was an angel, saint and a Dr. with a real heart who cared for our animals. He retired and sold his practice to another Dr. We recently had to put our 16 year old baby to sleep. She had several issues but was stable and strong. Several times I called to see if their was an open appointment for the same day. The Dr. always charged us more money as she made it an "Emergency Visit". All I can say is I would never return to them or recommend this vet ever again. The Dr. said on a Monday our dogs heart sounds amazing and took bloodwork. Two days later we were told her bloodwork was very bad and we had to put her to sleep. Tell me why, this Dr. could not expedite the results of her bloodwork instead of making us wait for 3 days. I believe their treatment on recent visits and lack of caring & knowledge was the cause of her death. Never had time to talk on the phone about our dog until night when & if she was available. Would never speak to us in the day because she was too busy. Some of the employees were nasty and not professional at all on the phones and would not even tell her when I had an emergency call and needed to speak to the Dr. Always an excuse. You know when someone truly cares and when they don't. I'll leave it at this... The best caring employees there are Denise, Dorice, Joyce, Heidi & Lisa. Charging us more & more money$$ was much more important than caring for our baby girl. We are so heartbroken. Never even a phone call to see how we are.

Such a warm and welcoming practice! Doctor Houston is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough and we felt like our furbaby was so well cared for. Cameron Animal Hospital also does lots of work to support local rescues so it feels like when you support them, you’re really supporting a community of animal lovers. I can’t say enough good things about this incredible place!

I don’t often give reviews but I will leave a 5 star review and a lengthy reason why. I have had 3 wonderful dogs and brought all 3 to Cameron Animal Hospital. The first two were always seen and treated with Dr. Cameron who was beyond amazing! My last baby Ivy who we had to say goodbye to on Monday was also treated extremely well even after Dr.Cameron. Dr. Miller was caring and compassionate, she didn’t push us to make any decisions and wasn’t focused on money or any unnecessary costs. I would like to thank the entire staff who have all been so great to us and our babies, always friendly, caring and supportive. I don’t think our family can go through another heartbreak but if by chance we do happen to have a change of heart, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Cameron Animal Hospital! Thank You all very much :)
