Sunset Vista Natural Area

Love this walking area! Great, scenic views of the front range, Long's Peak & Mt Meeker, and mountain ranges to the north and south. This natural area can get windy as there are no trees here, but the views make it all worth it. The main Loveland and Fort Collins bike trails run through Sunset Vista Natural Area. Plenty of parking, two bathrooms, and even a bike repair station. Highly recommend for some of the best views of the Rockies in Loveland / south FoCo!

Great spot to park and access the multi use paths in the Loveland Fort Collins area.

Wanted a quick evening walk with my dog that we hadn’t been on before. It was perfectly that. ☀️

This natural area has a lot to offer. There is convenient Loveland recreation trail side parking and two clean bathrooms. The nature area is pretty hot and dusty so it might be best first thing in the morning or late in the evening. Up on the hill to the west side there’s an interesting old building with a botanical garden in the front. I really appreciate the effort taken to label all of the plants here. The site is very clean and tidy. Thanks to the hard-working trail volunteers who put this site together and the city for maintaining it. :)

What a beautiful area! Great trails for walking, hiking and riding. Beautiful scenery, bridges, permanent restrooms during the warm season, ample parking, pretty quiet overall with just a slight bit of road noise. Enjoy!
