The staff and in particular the awesome vet techs make any visit to Altitude as pleasant as possible! My dog hates nail trims and the techs take such good care of him and get it done for a very fair price! Highly recommend taking your fur babies here!

Very positive first experience at this veterinary practice! Dr Todd and her assistant Hope were both very friendly and worked well with our shy pup. Front desk staff were super kind as well. I never felt pressured to get any additional labs or procedures that weren’t completely necessary, which was greatly appreciated. Having been to several vets over the years, this is not always the case. Prices are very reasonable. I am happy we found this practice!

We’ve been going to Altitude for almost a year now. My dog Harvey has frequent appointments because he needs monthly allergy shots. Prior to being adopted he had terrible experiences at the vet so he has always been very nervous and timid. This past week when I took him in, he was excited to enter the doors and he for the first time explored the waiting room. He still was timid leave his mama to go get his shot, but when he came out, he was very loving to them and excited and a happy boy! I thank them for continually working with him to make it a positive experience! I haven’t yet taken the other two dogs because they just haven’t needed anything and aren’t due for anything, but I’m sure they will do fine when we go!

We’ve been clients at Altitude since we rescued our sweet pup, and while we’ve been very fortunate to visit primarily for well-checks, with both urgent situations they’ve really been a pleasure to work with. Caring, attentive, extremely responsive to follow-up calls. Truly a blessing to have a vet who care about our girl as much as we do!

Excerpted from my post on “Nextdoor” 4 months ago. Neighbors are always looking for animal hospital recommendations, and I feel so strongly about Altitude Animal Hospital, that I’m “breaking with policy” and posting a public review. After 3 years of mourning my beloved first ever dog and relocating to Colorado, I adopted a mixed breed terrier in December and, simply put, they have been a lifesaver. I chose Altitude prior to bringing Ori home based on review of their website and other recommendations posted here and elsewhere. Ori visited two days after he came to his forever home and received a gentle and thorough first check-up and even a wonderful grooming in the same visit. It was easy to have my Westie groomed because he got the “Westie cut”, however, I didn’t know what to do with Ori. Altitude’s grooming manager, Amy, spent some time with him and suggested a scruffy boy cut, and I loved that idea! While getting his second grooming, he also received a few inoculations that he needed and it was just so convenient! Ori has had kennel cough, which the doctors treated quickly and carefully, and they have been seeing him for separation anxiety that is severe enough to warrant medication. I have in four short months met all three full-time Veterinarians and I believe almost all of the Veterinary Techs, Veterinary Assistants and office team. Dr. Karen Todd has assembled an awesome, talented group of pros. (Special shoutout to Jorden who has greeted us with the same smile, calm demeanor and stellar front desk assistance no matter how crazed Ori and/or I may have been!) Finally, I easily spent at least a year’s tuition at a private university throughout my first boy’s 15 year lifetime (I use this as an example because his human sisters attended college and we all know how pricey that is). I have found Altitude to be extremely reasonably priced versus the vet and hospital I used in NY and the vet practice my daughter uses and loves in Denver. Truly, I cannot say enough good things if you are looking to make a change or recently brought a new fur ball into your home. 8/8: On Monday, Ori was at Altitude for grooming (see pic) and just yesterday, Dr. Anseth who prescribed Ori’s anxiety meds, spent 50 minutes with us reviewing his behaviors the past four months, training, etc. We changed things up a bit and hopefully will see improvement when I follow up with her next month. When was the last time a doctor spent that much time just talking?! I was prepared for a large bill at checkout but nope — every time I visit I am relieved and so pleased with the cost — especially given the stellar, friendly care!
