Highly recommend. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Great communication. Clean office and very well put together. Relaxed atmosphere for nervous pets. Dr. November really listened and cared about my pets needs. My dog was properly diagnosed and treated with care.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff at Avondale Animal Hospital and Dr. November. A little over a week ago, we had to bring our dog in after she suddenly became very sick. They were able to quickly assess how serious her condition was and walked us through everything with honesty and compassion. Sadly, we had to make the difficult decision to put her down, but the care we received through the entire process was incredible. The staff never pushed unnecessary tests or expenses on us—they were upfront and transparent while still being so kind and understanding. Today we even received a handwritten sympathy card in the mail along with Finley’s nose and paw prints. That small gesture meant so much to us and truly showed how much they care about the animals and their families. We are so grateful for the kindness and compassion they showed us during such a hard time. When we’re ready for another pet, we will absolutely continue to trust Avondale Animal Hospital with their care.

This is by far the best vet I have ever been to! I recently moved from VA and I was lucky enough to try Avondale Animal Hospital first. The staff were all very friendly and kind to my nervous dog, and Dr. November was amazing. My dog is nervous around men, but he made sure to go slow and make sure she was comfortable with him before proceeding with the exam. He was VERY thorough, and explained all treatment options and recommendations clearly. Very positive first experience here, and I will definitely be bringing my other dog and cat here for their care!

I truly appreciate the entire staff at Avondale Animal Hospital. I have a reactive pup and they always go above and beyond to make sure that we are escorted in and out to keep everyone safe and happy. My dog enjoys going to the vet because she gets the most amount of cuddles and attention from everyone there.

I am new to the area and was nervous about finding a new vet, and AAH exceeded my expectations in every way! I first brought my husky in with an upset tummy and they were so great and helped put me at ease (without costing me a fortune). The staff here was very kind and also very helpful with fitting me in for a last minute appointment. They were very upfront with their pricing and are probably the least expensive vet I have ever been to. They did not push any unnecessary tests on me and while they validated my concerns, they also took a more reserved approach to upfront treatment, rather than suggested a ton of expensive tests just because. My next visit here I brought my 9yo small dog who is suffers from really bad anxiety and has a history of anxiety-induced seizures. It makes it VERY difficult to manage her health when sometimes simply going to the vet can spark a seizure so I am extremely apprehensive about when and where to bring her. When I called and told them about her they again fit me in very last minute and were understanding when I explained her eccentricities. When I got there, despite being out directly into a room she immediately was NOT okay, and I was worried she would have a seizure. The staff was 100% ON IT and suggested I take her outside in their backyard and wait there instead in case that helped calm her. It did and then to my complete shock, they came out and suggested they just do the entire visit outside instead since she seemed more relaxed there. I was so impressed with the way they not only listened to me; but also trusted and valued my input with how to care for my dog. It’s very rare to find a vet so willing to listen and cater their care specifically to your pets needs without any semblance of judgement or rolling of eyes. I am fully aware that my dog can be ALOT and without knowing her full medical background I can seem like ALOT and very overbearing so I am used to being pushy and having to fight to advocate for my pet. That need was non existent here, and I wish more vets + their staff were as compassionate as everyone I met here at Avondale Animal Hospital. I would (and have) recommended this vet to anyone! I could go on and on and on (and also have to anyone who’d listen) about how impressed I was with how they managed my small dog and I during that visit. This vet truly seems like a hidden gem and I am so so lucky to have found them. I can sleep easier knowing I have them close by. To the staff at AAH: THANKYOU a million times over! You’re kindness and compassion are unmatched!
