(from Google)We unfortunately had to put our dog down. Bell Parkway was caring and compassionate. They were able to get us in right away. They were patient with us and allowed us as much time with our pet as we needed. Their prices were very reasonable.
My beautiful boy was suddenly hit with pancreatitis. I knew he was in pain. I frantically called around on a Saturday looking for humane euthanasia, knowing he was suffering. Not only was Bell Parkway open until 9pm, they were patient with me as I blubbered my way through the phone call. Not knowing if he would make it or even how to get him in the car, the girl gave me an "open" appointment "between 6 and 7". When I got there, they allowed me the time I needed and even came in twice to check on me. I ran way past my slotted appointment time. The vet let me tell her when I was ready for her to administer the medication without making me feel rushed or pressured. They let me stay with him as long as I needed afterwards. Upon picking up the ashes, I was shocked at the quality of the urn and the care they took to package it. They placed the ashes in the urn so I wouldnt have to do it. On top of the professionalism and compassion shown to me, they charged $200 less than everyone else I spoke to - on a Saturday. At night. For a 130lb dog. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I recently brought a stray cat in that had been frequenting my house over the weekend. I dont usually use this clinic for my own indoor cats, but I may be making the switch in future. I chose this facility because it has long weekend hours and its proximity to my home. The front desk staffer, Austin, was extremely thorough and polite from the first phone interaction. The stray I brought in had a horrible abcess on his shoulder and debris in his ears. Dr. Engleschall had a very calm bedside manner and down-to-earth personality. You can tell she loves animals (I know that sounds silly, but some drs seem like they picked the wrong field. She is not one of those). I felt she was thorough and took great care of the cat. They were even able to get him tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, got him all his shots, AND got him neutered in addition to taking care of his emergent needs on a Sunday! This allowed me to bring him inside my home to recover in peace and its going great so far. The price for the base office visit was extremely reasonable for a weekend appointment. The total bill was also low compared to other vet practices in the area. I have to add that the vet tech Ileene was great as well, she had sense of urgency that is hard to find and I really appreciated her. The office is also clean with the added bonus of complimentary refreshments in the waiting area. This place is a gem to have in our community.
We brought our puppy here yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier with the care we received. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. They made Bear feel comfortable and calm, which really put us at ease. You can tell they truly care about the animals they see. We’re so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. We’ll definitely be coming back for future visits!
Dr. Orozco, Cari, and the scheduling staff were FANTASTIC!! From easy scheduling, quick availability, and compassionate care my expectations were exceeded!! We were greeted with a smiling face, welcoming us in. The exam was quick and Lula's care plan was discussed in detail with clear expectations of procedures, treatments, and costs. Both Dr. Orozco and Cari explained both the diagnosis and medication instructions in clear understandable detail. I will be going to Bell Parkway Veterinary Hospital for all my pet's care!
