Cheval hospital was the best vet experience I ever had. My dog feefee was very comfortable. She is a 16 year old chihuahua and was as calm as ever with Dr.Nelan they were educational and very empathetic every step of the way for the loss of our other senior 19 year old teddy bear. 100% with out a doubt when looking for a trusted vet Cheval is what I’ll always recommended to everybody.

I am incredibly grateful to the team at Cheval Animal Hospital for the compassion they showed my family when we had to say goodbye to our 19-year-old Shih Tzu, Teddybear. Two days before his passing, Dr. Brandon Nelson gave me peace and reassurance that we were making the right decision. When the time came, Dr. Mekayla Norden was incredibly kind, professional, and took the time to answer all of our questions during the process. The room they provided was private, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed with seating, a bed for our dog, relaxing music, and even a Winnie the Pooh quote on the wall. The staff, including the front desk team, treated us with so much kindness even though we were not previous clients. This was a hard decision for our family to make, but I’m grateful we were able to do it in such a compassionate place. I highly recommend Cheval Animal Hospital to anyone facing this difficult moment with their pet. 🐾

They have great Doctors but there are endless other issues. If your pet is sick or injured, they will send you to the emergency vet anyway. Pretty much any appointment other than an annual exam they want you to drop them off and come back 8-12 hours later which means the pet spends all day in a crate. If you have any questions, you have to call repeatedly and ask over and over again because they never return phone calls or follow up etc etc. It’s a shame because the Doctors are fantastic but when they’re not accessible, it doesn’t do much good. Edit to reply to the office manager- I have attempted to discuss many of my concerns with office staff and have been told someone would call me back and then never heard anything, or told that they would do something one way only to then turn around and have them do the exact opposite. I’ve also had an issue that I waited over a month, had 3 phone conversations and 2 in person conversations trying to get an answer and was repeatedly told they were waiting for the manager to respond and I never got an answer. As recently as Feb 15th (while my dog’s ear was dripping blood down the side of his head) I was told that they could “try” to work him in but “couldn’t make any promises” and that the wait might be two to three hours or more. This has been similar to my experience almost every time one of my dogs has been sick or injured. The drop offs have nothing to do with the pet “resting comfortably” particularly when they’re very anxious at the vet. If the owner is willing to wait with the pet and that’s what actually makes them comfortable, insisting that they need to be locked up in a crate in a strange environment with no ability to even go to the bathroom for 4+ hours while they just wait their turn for a SCHEDULED appointment is not acceptable. In the most recent instance I asked repeatedly to not do the appointment as a drop off and was told that was fine and he could stay with me until they were ready for him. Instead he spent almost 7 hours sitting in a crate/ in the back.

All the Doctors here are phenomenal, namely Dr.Norden (cat specialist). We also take our dogs here and Dr.Nelon was fantastic as well! The techs are all knowledgeable, the facility is immaculate, they call our pets "kiddos" lol and they stay on top of your kiddos' needs like they should! After all, they are our pet's Doctors. Thank you Cheval!

What an amazing place! My regular vet of 13 years couldn’t fit us in for an emergency visit… I called this office & I was able to get in as a new patient within hours! They were so great with our pup! Friendly, patient, & made our nervous dog feel so comfortable! We have a new place to call home!!!
