Dr. Hait, Dr. Bowden, Dr. Washburn, Susan, and Judy have treated my pet with the utmost care and respect. My Gracie was diagnosed with kidney disease over 4 years ago and the Crosswind’s staff has provided the best guidance we could have hoped for. Gracie is 19 and in her golden months—in large part to this great team. The first time I took my 10-lb girl to see them Dr. Hair sat in the floor with her and let Gracie warm up to her. She was tender and thoughtful and continues to be the best vet in the upstate. All the stars!!!

Before the holidays, our beloved, ancient, already cancer-stricken dog took a sharp downturn and we thought there was nothing to be done. Crosswinds fit us into their schedule the day before they closed for Christmas, took their time examining our dog, and developed a remarkably effective care plan. Our boy was able to be with us through the holidays and have his 10th Gotcha Day before his qualify of life started to drastically diminish in early February. When it was time to say goodbye, Crosswinds made choosing humane euthanasia (which is an absolutely terrible experience) as painless as possible. They doted on him, showered him in an amazing array of treats, and comforted the small army of humans who showed up to see him off. Even afterwards, when his ashes were returned, the staff went above and beyond. They included a stamp of his nose and toes as well as a condolence note from the staff. As someone who used to work at a different vet clinic, I have to say that these folks really go that extra mile - and it makes a huge difference. Thank you, Crosswinds ❤️

I had 5 dogs under their care, some for many years, 4 are rescues. They have awful customer service. The front desk people (one woman in particular) couldn’t care less about any of my animals or me as a person (high paying customer). I took my Shepard once after a fight where I was bitten as well. With bandages covering my arm, no one even asked hey what happened? With 5 dogs I was in there pretty frequently. You would think someone would have said something right?? After being told today that I could bring my choking dog in for an emergency visit when I called at 9:30 or at 11:30 for normal appointment but that I would be waiting anyway because they would have to fit her in, that was the last straw. No concern for my dog whatsoever. She recovered. Not the first time of complete lack of concern. After asking for my dogs paperwork today in an attempt to get a call from one of the vets to explain my unhappiness, I was sent a simple message from Dr Powell letting me know my account had been deactivated and that I needed to find another vet!!! That was how my dogs and I were treated after many years of being a loyal customer (in spite of the higher than expected prices). Adios Crosswind Animal Hospital. You don’t deserve to treat my dogs.

Brought both my dogs in to get established for vet care at Crosswinds- was very pleased with cleanliness of facility, the friendly staff, and very personable and kind vet and vet tech. They loved on both my boys and were very thorough during the exam and listened well. So glad we came!

I was in town visiting my boyfriend’s family for the holidays, and we always drive up with our two dogs from FL. Our one dog usually gets allergies when we take him on hikes/walks outside of FL, and this time we wanted to get ahead of the problem before it got worse. We noticed a few days after we got here constant licking, itching in all different places even throughout the night. We waited to see if it would improve to take him to our vet back at home, but it only continue to get worse, and we still had a few more days before heading back home to FL. My boyfriend’s dad, and wife bring their dog here which is how we were referred. I was lucky to be able to get a same day appointment to see Dr. Jenna Washburn for a new patient exam, she did a skin cytology, was able to provide my dog a cytopoint shot which is what he has been given in the past by his vet for this type of issue, since she saw some bacteria in his skin cytology she also provided us with some cefpodoxine medication for him. I can’t thank her & her team for seeing us in short notice. This will make sure the rest of our trip is more enjoyable for everyone. My first impression of the establishment was plenty of parking, lots of open space outside for the dogs to pee, the waiting area was very clean, nicely decorated, & welcoming for your pets. They have a coffee station by the door, and I saw a restroom on my way into our op. Our op was very clean, private, with some pet information to read while you wait, the assistant was very friendly, and very attentive to my dog. Price is pretty much the same that we would’ve paid in FL. They do ask for a $50 deposit over the phone when making your appointment but it goes towards your bill. Again thank you to the great front desk staff, assistant, and Dr. Washburn for seeing us ! I highly recommend this vet for your pet. If needed in the future we would definitely come back when in the area!
