(from Google)i have never got around to this, but i want to thank just cats for the rest of my life. back in 2017, my kitty cat felix was bit by a possum while we were making our final trip to move to houston, from 300 miles away. the bite ended up turning into an abscess that ruptured my kitty's throat and caused a horrific open wound in his throat that burst out through his skin. i was so lost and scared and in a new town and you were the closest place open that day. you guys were open for only 42 more minutes. you saved my felix, and he just turned 11 years old. he really wouldn't be here with me if it wasn't for you guys. thank you, i will never forget how you treated us with dignity and respect. we also lacked on funds and you were able to provide us resources to successfully handle everything. bless you people, even though i know the staff has definitelt changed, you change lives daily 💗
I really enjoy bringing my young cat to Just Cats. She has a few minor issues and sensitivities and I feel she has greatly benefitted from the understanding and expertise of the entire team. She is treated lovingly and patiently by everyone on staff, from receptionists to techs to her veterinarian, Dr. Castro. Everyone is so kind, never rushed, and I can honestly tell my cat likes it here because of how quickly she returns to her normal self after visits. She feels comfortable and safe and seems to have developed a sense of trust in her care. In my opinion, a few extra dollars for routine exams has has helped us avoid unnecessary stress and has saved me many extra dollars fumbling around for solutions and information. I enjoy everything about this place and am so glad I made the decision to come here!
The kindness and compassion that we were shown from all the staff during my 17 year old Xigua's last few months was unforgettable. The receptionists were always very sweet and helpful anytime we called. I was definitely a distraught mess during that time and had a lot of questions and was very indecisive but Dr Castro and Kinsey were very patient and understanding. Dr Castro never made me feel pressured to euthanize Xigua but was honest about her clinical picture and decline. A small thing I noticed and really appreciated during Xigua's euthanasia appointment is that after she had passed, Kinsey continued to give her little pets and scratches on her head while we talked which helped relieve any anxiety I had about leaving her there as I felt they would treat her body with care and respect. Routine vet care here is definitely a little bit pricey compared to other non-feline specific clinics in the area but for cats with any medical problems I think they are worth it. I started to bring my young healthy cats here after Xigua's passing despite the price just because I was so appreciative of the care they had provided us. We've since moved away from the area but still are very grateful for everything they've done for us.
I just want to thank Dr. Castro and all the staff for being so great. My 18 year old cat, Fred, was given many extra months with treatment by their help. He was sick and we did all of the test to eliminate solvable issues. Unfortunately we couldn't solve it. (bladder cancer plus other terminal health issues). Fred was a fighter and he didn't give up, so I didn't give up on him. But he could only fight so long. We watched the sunset on his last night as he was too weak to bolt from my arms (inside cat). He enjoyed the fresh air and watched the sunset. With Dr. Castro's help and staff, his passing was extremely peaceful. The most peace in months was petting him after he passed. He was no longer in pain. The staff really cared and Fred would not want them to be sad. :) I haven't closed a door fully in 18 years so this is strange to do. I keep looking for him out of habit. It could have been so much worse if I went elsewhere. They get an A+ “To live is to suffer; to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche
I recently brought my two cats here for senior labs and exams. Dr Bondurant and team were extremely caring and intuitive with each patient, and helped perform a thorough exam with minimal distress. I appreciated the high level of service throughout the experience and afterwards with the follow up of each exam. The team was patient in explaining each step of the process in addition to recommendations. Looking forward to this upgraded experience of care for my babies! - Thanks from Kasey and Dax Thomas
