(from Google)Love this trail! Plenty of nature to enjoy along the easy path. It’s fun to take a picnic and enjoy the stream and the sounds of the crickets! Truly one of gems in the Queen City’s crown!
Joined friends during a Saturday morning 5K ParkRun event. It was a very nice trail that has plenty of room for walkers, runners, and bikers. We had a wonderful time and the weather was very nice, which made the event even better. Even saw a Doe with her Fawn crossing the creek. It was an awesome sight. I hope you have a great time, too.
2025.06.28 ~05:50, i was the 2nd to arrive at the Little Sugar Creek Greenway (Sharon Road West) parking; then i went for an ~7+ mi Loop (~3 mi of the Little Sugar Creek Greenway and the neighborhood) The Greenway was getting busy. And my guess is that while on the ~3 mi stretch of the Greenway, i encountered a total of 50+ people; ~6 cyclists, ~50 joggers, and a few walking. Everyone was cheery and friendly. The Greenway was clean and well-maintained.
Just wanted to review this fantastic, long (or short, depending on your mood) greenway near me. It's stunningly beautiful and goes along the water. We've got some dedicated runners, bikers, and even daily dog walkers enjoying it. The best part? It's just a 2-minute walk from my apartment. Always in excellent condition, clean, well-maintained with clear directions to guide you. Spring and fall here are pure bliss. And trust me, it's hot as heck during the summer, but that's NC for you! 😅 I'd recommend it 10 / 10 for anyone, regardless of your age. It's truly a treat for the eyes. 🌳🌼
The Greenway runs from PNC Arena on North side of Charlotte, NC through Downtown Charlotte to the South Carolina State line - maybe farther N or S. We stopped in on of the many entry points & walked for an hour or so. Bikes & walkers, strollers & scooters all share the greenway. So do the deer - large population of deer - spotted about a dozen the day we were there. Great signage & some locations have clean public restrooms. See maps for details. Certainly like this pathway & expect to use it over & over as we have time in Charlotte.
