Barrelhouse BBQ Smokehouse

This restaurant has delicious barbecue. We had the 3-meat patter which comes with 2 sides. At each table is 2 bbq sauces and a roll of paper towels. They have a large variety of beer/ciders which appeared to be very popular. The restaurant was steady with a line to the door on a Monday night. They have dog-friendly outdoor area with live music and patio games. They even have 2 parking areas! The area surrounding the restaurant appears to be in a revival with multiple craft beer gardens that are within walking distance.

The girl running the front was amazing the only one there. Food not a fan 😒 brisket was cold Mac n cheese very watery had some flavor. Fish was warm not very good . We paid 65 bucks with a tip and that will not happen again. Hubs said corn was best thing on his plate

They were out of several items like smoked wings and mac n cheese when we visited. We wanted to order the butcher block special but they didn't have enough items. We ordered several dishes. The nachos are nothing special, just chips out of a bag with cheese and sour cream. They are not worth the price. The brisket bombs are excellent. The pit master rolls are good. They have a huge selection of ciders and local craft beer. They do not offer table service. The line to order was slow.

I read all the reviews good and bad and was a little hesitant but I’m so glad we went there. My husband and I ordered the half Cajun chicken with the corn ribs, potato salad and baked beans. We also had the beer cheese for appetizer which was really good! While the Cajun was way too spicy for me the half chicken was cooked perfectly and after peeling the skin off I ate every bit of it. Best half chicken I’ve had in Knoxville. Most places don’t serve the half chicken anymore and then it’s dried out. We got here around 9:15, ordered and had our meals by 9:30. Of course the comedy show was going on so most everyone was in there. The waitress was wonderful and very attentive. The baked beans were very good and flavorful, reminding me of Bush’s Grilling beans which I love. If we didn’t eat it here we took it home with us to eat later. Very impressed. The ordering is a little unorthodox because you order at the bar and that was the only time we really had to wait for anything which was maybe five minutes. We selected our own table and the appetizer came out a few minutes later. We will come back especially for the half chicken! Maybe try to catch a comedy show too next time.

Omg! The wings were amazing. Shout out to the pit master …he gave me some ways to up my wing game! Have you ever had corn ribs??? Try um’, they are delish. Soda, full bar and an array of local brew. I will be back when I am in Knoxville!
