(from Google)Visited in the spring and had a fantastic experience. The weather was perfect for walking the full circuit. The boardwalk trail takes you deep into the mangroves, offering a peaceful, shaded escape with plenty of local wildlife sightings. Before heading onto the trail, I highly recommend stopping by the Iwo Jima Monument at the entrance—it’s a moving and impressive tribute. The entire preserve is well-maintained and provides a great look at the area's natural ecosystem. A must-visit if you're in Cape Coral!
If you can look past the loud road, this walk was really nice! Lots of shade and little bugs during our visit. The paths are well maintained and the peir is a good stop to relax and cast a line.
A really nice walking trail along a boardwalk winding through the mangroves. It’s a peaceful trail that leads out to a pier with beautiful water views and a great spots for fishing. The walk is an easy, enjoyable stroll—less than a mile to the pier and back to the parking lot. Plenty of free parking
Fun easy walking or biking boardwalk paths to bay water. Not many birds but on entrance sawa mom raccoon and two youngins following her high up in the palm trees! A great place to get the steps in for the dayandhas military information at front of park in parking lot.
It has a nice nature trail boardwalk throughout the mangroves and marshes. We saw what we think were otter tracks, but otherwise we didn't really see much as far as wildlife. There's plenty of parking, decent bathrooms, and the Veterans park right at the entrance. Overall, it's a cool little park to meander around in.
