Exceptional Veterinary Care with Expertise, Heart, and Thoughtful Design After recently moving from Miami Beach to Greenville, I needed to thoughtfully build a new veterinary team for my fur-baby, Matzo Ball, a Standard Parti Poodle. Having spent years as a senior legal analyst and now working in real estate, thorough research and careful decision-making are simply in my nature — so choosing the right veterinary care truly mattered to me. I’m so grateful that process led me to Dr. Jonathan Hansche and his team at Partners Animal Hospital. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear how intentional this practice is. The office — which is only about a year and a half old — is beautifully designed with smart, thoughtful details, including a scale seamlessly embedded into the floor at the entry. Clever, efficient, and genuinely stress-reducing for pets and owners alike. Dr. Hansche holds a biology degree from Point Loma Nazarene University and graduated with honors from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, one of the most highly regarded veterinary programs in the country. He completed a one-year internship at a specialty practice in West Los Angeles, focusing on internal medicine and cardiology, and later practiced general veterinary medicine in San Diego before relocating to Greenville. His special interests in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and advanced diagnostics such as ultrasound are evident in his thoughtful, thorough approach and excellent communication. What meant the most to me, however, was the genuine emotional connection he formed with Matzo Ball. Dr. Hansche immediately recognized his beautiful demeanor, markings, and personality — and enthusiastically commented on what great shape he’s in. As a devoted pet parent, that kind of recognition speaks volumes. Matzo Ball wasn’t just another appointment — he was truly seen. We also discussed the broader team I’ve assembled for Matzo Ball’s care, and I truly appreciated Dr. Hansche’s thoughtful engagement and affirmation. He applauded my choice of dermatologist Dr. Pate, whom I saw yesterday, and ophthalmologist Dr. Bauer, whom I’ll be seeing next week. That level of collaboration and respect across specialties speaks volumes and further reinforced my confidence that Matzo Ball is in exactly the right hands. And as I was writing this review, I received a follow-up call checking in on how Matzo Ball did after his visit — even though it was just his very first meet-and-greet. Incredible experience. This is the first vet I found after moving to SC and it was all around a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in everyone was welcoming and attentive. They treated my cat with compassion and care and answered all of my questions. Additional positive, the first thing I noticed when walking in was how good it smelled and how clean the practice was.
