We have brought two of three animals here and plan on bringing our third. Everyone we have have interacted with was very professional, helpful and kind. My only concern and I say this with caution, is why the heck do you have a potted Lilly plant right inside the entrance of the cats side lobby? Regardless of species of Lilly, its still toxic to cats! 🤦🏻‍♂️

We first went to South College Vet Clinic when we had to let our first dog cross the rainbow bridge. It was during COVID and we had just moved to Auburn. Our other vet was over 2 hours away and Dr. Albert treated us like family. We switched full time with our second dog and they’ve gone above and beyond taking care of him. When I left his medicine in Auburn, Dr. Kendall called him in a refill at a local pharmacy to pick up. We are so thankful for this practice!

My Whiskey girl is a monstrosity at the vet, but Dr. Albert and other workers go above and beyond to not only make sure she is comfortable and has the upmost best care, but also making me laugh off the embarrassment . I send all my other cat friends here! I fostered for 3 years previously and have never found another place so accommodating

I had the most horrifying experience after bringing my beloved dog Shadow to this clinic. I’m going to write this in as much detail as I possibly can. Please read all of it before considering this clinic. It is so important to be careful of what these doctors prescribe and put in our precious animals. Shadow is not just my dog. He’s my lifeline. My soulmate. The only being that has never left my side. He means the world to me and he should not have been treated with such carelessness. On June 13, 2025 I took my baby here because he wasn’t feeling well. I told them that he tries to bite me if I try to pick him up. He had some kind of pain in his hind legs. I made it very clear that he has Cushing’s disease. I told them his liver enzymes and his cortisol levels are high due to this disease. Upon inspecting him for 2 minutes, Dr Kendall said that he seems stiff and he might have a slipped disc. I asked her what would cause that because we don’t do any vigorous activities with him. She said it can happen in old age. She decided to give him a muscle relaxer called Methocarbamol and a pain killer called Meloxicam. They were given to him through an injection and she gave me extra doses of Meloxicam to be given to him every day for a week at home. I asked her 3 different times what are the side effects of these medications before she gave the injection. She said he’ll be sleepy. I asked “are you sure”. She said “yes”. The horror that began after was extremely painful for Shadow, me and my kids. We love this little guy to death. I would give my limbs for him if I could, to make him feel better. He started pacing while we were still at the clinic. I didn’t think anything of it. Once we got home and after a few hours, we realized that he’s continuously pacing all around the house. He started aimlessly walking, had a trance like look in his eyes, circling, going behind the washer and dryer and getting stuck, going behind the console tables, going into corners and standing there staring at the walls for minutes. He had never in his life done any of this. The next three days were horrible. He stopped drinking water, eating, going out to pee. I had to syringe feed him water, syringe feed him food after blending it and putting diapers on him. I ended up taking him to the vet hospital because the symptoms were devastating. I was sure he wasn’t going to make it. Another thing, when I was at the clinic I asked them if it’s possible to cut his nails and how much it would be. They said it would be $15. I kid you not, they charged my $38 by calling him “Fractious” for just the nail trim. And they charged me $18 to trim his paws which are completely uneven. Anyway, today as in June 21, 2025, my baby Shadow is feeling a lot better. His neurological symptoms have subsided. I never gave him the horrible prescription at home. After doing thorough research on these two prescriptions we realized they are terrible medications to give to a dog with high liver enzymes and do cause neurological symptoms. The vet saying the only side effect is it’ll make him sleepy was a joke. He was the opposite of sleepy. He paced and circled all freakin day and night for 3 days. The only time he didn’t do that was when he got super tired and dropped wherever he was and passed out from exhaustion. He was shaking, stumbling and falling all throughout. I would also love to mention that I was told that I will be given a follow up call to check up on him. They never called me once it’s been more than a week. There should be more to this profession than just thinking about money. Please be careful where you take your pets to get them to feel better. I’m attaching pictures and videos of what my poor baby went through. He is a trooper and a survivor.

We love Dr. Kendall and Dr. Albert! After moving back to Auburn, we were going to a different vet that neither of our pups seemed comfortable with. From the first time we stepped into South College Vet Clinic, we knew this place was different. Every member of the staff is so friendly, patient, and helpful! And the best part is, our babies are excited to visit rather than dread it, which shows us how well they are treated there! Our Rottie has had two surgeries and each time the staff has taken excellent care of him and updated us regularly. We are so thankful to have found them!
