(from Google)Food was very flavorful & delicious. The wait staff was attentive and welcoming. Very good & highly recommend if you are in the area.
My husband and I shy away from steak houses in Puerto Rico because we find the beef to be very tough. That is NOT the case with this restaurant. The steak was unbelievably tender and beautifully seasoned. The sides were tasty, homemade and delicious! I got the mashed potatoes, which were clearly homemade. My husband got rice which was moist and flavorful. Our waitress, Dania, was attentive and considerate. We were so happy with our dinner that we asked to speak to the manager to tell them how pleased we were. Fortunately, the owner, Martin, and his business manager, Ada, were there. They were warm and welcoming and we were fortunate enough to get a tour of their courtyard which is a depiction of La Boca in Argentina. We highly recommend Rincon Argentino in Ponce, Puerto Rico for the food, the atmosphere and a wonderful experience!
Absolutely loved Rincon. Only disappointment was that I went in the wrong day for live music. The food was great and the service was even better!! The staff is very friendly and attentive. Of our 4 days in Ponce it was agreed this was one of the top two meals. It was also a great value for what you get! Highly recommend and will definitely visit again when back in the area.
I was very excited to visit this place since it always looks busy and popular. To avoid the crowds, we decided to go on a weekday. Parking was easy to find nearby, which was a plus. When we arrived, we waited outside as instructed by the sign to be seated. The restaurant was not busy at all, yet we stood there for quite some time while employees walked past us without acknowledging us. There was a young lady at the bar area, but we were ignored. Eventually, another young waiter came and seated us. Unfortunately, from that point on, the experience did not improve. We were seated in a cold, dark, isolated room. Both the drinks and the food took a long time to arrive. When the food finally came, it was not as tasty as we expected. Overall, we felt ignored by the young staff working there. We are seniors and local residents of Ponce who enjoy visiting and supporting small local restaurants and businesses. Sadly, this experience was very disappointing, and I will not be returning.
I have tried this place twice. To give it a chance. Maybe it was a bad day the first time around. However now I believe its just this place is incredibly glacial. It shouldn't take over on hour to prepare food. Especially when it wasnt crowded or complex. Some dishes were good. The appetizers we ordered really good. The octopus cocktail yummy and the wings. The pork i had was ridiculously dry, eh in flavor. The beans weren't good. Disappointing. The gentleman that served us, very tall slender guy, barely around. We had to ask other people for things we wanted. Upon leaving we understood why he wasn't around. He was just lingering up front being social with another server. That's not a good look for your business. No one should have to wait 20 minutes for water. Respectfully, do better.
