(from Google)This amazing team took incredible care of my dog for her surgery and provided post surgery care in the weeks after as needed. I was honestly the client from hell because I kept calling them and asking them to look at my dog to assess her swelling and they were so kind and always seemed happy to check on her. My dog loves the team, which shows me how kindly they treated her at every step of the process. Dr. Zamora was compassionate throughout the entire process and did a wonderful job performing a tricky and difficult surgery. I would recommend this vet clinic to anyone, they are good people!
I have had two recent visits with Dr. Zamora over issues related to my 3 y/o dog. The first was when my dog came home from a play date and was limping. Dr. Zamora did a thorough hands-on evaluation of Tashi and recommended that we hold off on an X-ray for a day or two. In fact, the very next day, Tashi was her old self. I appreciate Dr. Zamora's conservative approach to exposing Tashi to radiation. Two days ago, I took Tashi in because of a hot spot she had developed. In addition, Tashi was showing a global allergic reaction exhibited by biting of numerous areas. Again, Dr. Zamora was conservative and recommended a Cytopoint injection but to use Apoquel sparingly allowing time for the injection to take effect. I appreciated her knowledge and great bedside manner with Tashi. The vet tech was also very gentle with Tashi.
Disappointed in my experience at Grand Central Vet. I hardly ever write negative reviews because we are all human but after my cats diabetes diagnosis, I felt very uneducated and was not aware of the risks associated with the medication we put my cat on and how important it is to be testing daily for ketones and blood glucose to avoid DKA. I had to request a new diet/prescription for my cat multiple times as well as his vet records. When bringing my cat in for his follow up, after 3 days of being on the medication, we thought he was no longer a good candidate. Dr. Zamora said “this is why I told you to get him on it asap” and “this is why I said to buy the 1 month supply.” As opposed to the 2 month bottle I purchased since it was the only one available that I could have shipped next day, after calling around 10+ places). I was hoping to be treated with more empathy as this has been very scary and expensive and at the end of the day I just want and will do whatever is best for my cat. She then went to the back, made a phone call and came out and said that he actually is ok to continue on the medication. In looking back at his previous blood tests in Aug 2025, his blood glucose was a bit elevated and I wish we could’ve addressed this then and try to avoid him getting diabetes all together. Unfortunately I would not recommend this vet.
Dr Zamora and her team were very gentle and caring when our older pup hurt his back, which helped put us at ease in a stressful time. They provided follow up calls to ensure he was well (he is!) and were just generally very considerate. Prices seem very reasonable considering the service. Definitely would recommend.
They were so accommodating and welcoming that it really put an ease to my anxiety that I was feeling about my dog. They were able to squeeze me in on an emergency basis and actually listened to what I noticed about her behavioral changes. Provided excellent care and did not try to get me to purchase extra services. Treatment plan was effective and the follow up calls were welcomed.
