(from Google)Hi everyone just wanted to say that First Flight Exotic Birds is a wonderful place to buy your next bird. I bought my beautiful Baby Triton Cockatoo from them and Anthony and his staff did an amazing job on my bird. From the beginning until the delivery. They were always easy to talk to. And have so much experience with birds I can’t tank them a lot of what they done for Sunny the Triton Cockatoo. Thank you Very much Anthony.
I’m writing this on behave of what I’ve recently witnessed and I can’t be quiet about it. Recently a couple I know purchased a red breasted cockatoo from this establishment. Being a parrot owner myself I couldn’t wait to rush over and meet her. When I got there I was appalled at the condition this baby (unknown age) was in. First off she came with no paper work other than she was a DNA sexed. What about disease testing? They don’t even know her hatch date. This store had a purchase price of SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! That’s almost TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS more than what I paid for my four month old Military Macaw from a well accredited breeder. (If I knew this upfront I would have done everything to stop this sale but they had already put a deposit) A red breasted cockatoo should not run you more than $4000. This bird was being feed a seed diet and already had mutation behaviors. I don’t understand how this establishment in their right minds had the morals or ethics to not only have this bird on such a poor diet, send her to the new owners with NO paperwork and sell this baby bird in that condition. Yes my friends should have done a little more research but it’s also a pet store’s responsibility to sell healthy birds. If you’re thinking about purchasing from here , I highly suggest you do not. Find yourself a well accredited breeder!
I am a long time owner of multiple parrots ranging from Eclectus to Amazon to Conures to African Grey and everything in between. I normally do not leave reviews but after reading a few negative posts (probably from people who are generally miserable) I felt the need to post a review of my own. I was passing First Flight and decided to stop since I had never been here before. The store was super clean (birds are messy and this is no small task!), the two women who worked there were very friendly, attentive to customers and welcoming to all. The store had a wide array of exotic birds that seemed healthy, friendly and very happy. While I was simply stopping in with no real need to purchase anything they had a wide array of perches (including grape vine branches) that I couldn’t resist. Prices were reasonable and in line for a quality perch. My African Grey has already claimed her new perch as her fav! Overall this is an excellent store for all bird lovers from beginners to long time owners. I highly recommend First Flight! Thank you for a very pleasant experience - you have a new customer!
I bought a love bird a few months ago. The bird always looked a little small. The bird looked unhealthy, feathers were muted colors. Should be bright colors. The bird seemed sick early on. It was terrified, almost like it had been abused. The bird was also very scared from day one. Unfortunately the bird died 2 months after I bought it. It was so upsetting to find the bird dead at the bottom of its cage. I had a love bird for 12 years before this one. I knew how to take care of birds. The owner didn't seem to give a crap about the birds death. He offered a 15% discount, what a joke. I honestly would never buy a bird from this place again 🙄 😒.
I purchased 2 kakariki from First Exotic Birds. They are so sweet, both birds come right in to my hands and let me hold them, kiss them, and pat them. The staff are very friendly and kind, very supportive too, they are always ready to help you with any questions and concerns. I just love this place, and I recommend 100%.
