(from Google)Great park. Plenty of room and water for everyone. Good place to see migratory birds. Had prairie dogs to watch play. Neat rail road bridge near by with creek. They have restrooms but I didng go in to see if they are clean. Not crowded when I went on a wk day.
Brought my lil boy over here for the first time earlier. He loved it!
We take our dog along the river and finish with lap across the top of the dam… it’s his favorite part!! It’s clean, safe, beautiful, sticker free and a great place to get your steps for the day!!
Surprising find of water in Lubbock. A couple people fishing. Some graffiti and litter.
Dunbar Lake Dam impounds the water of the North Fork Double Mountain Fork Brazos River. This is essentially the famous Brazos River which flows by Houston. The mouth of the river is located at Blackwater Draw outside of Portales, New Mexico. Due to water discharge from the City of Lubbock there is a perennial flow. You should stop if you're in the area.
