(from Google)I’ve taken several of my rescue animals to Oakwell over the last few years and have always been very happy with their care. The employees there are truly outstanding and knowledgeable. I had recently been bottle feeding a tiny litter of 3 abandoned kittens, when the little girl suddenly fell very ill. Oakwell managed to fit me in very quickly for an appointment, and Dr. Jessica Sims was the vet on call. She and her techs were extremely quick and efficient with the necessary tests, and discovered the kittens had Parvo. She thoroughly talked me through all my options, as this is a very deadly disease to kittens, and I had 4 other adult cats at home to worry about exposing as well. The whole team was so overwhelmingly informative and patient and compassionate in helping me through this heartbreakingly difficult visit. I will forever be grateful for all their incredible kindness. You could not ask for better veterinary care in our area or anywhere else.
Absolutely fantastic crew. They were amazing with not just my pup, but with informing me on all decisions and treatments. Highly recommend for anyone and their pet needs.
This was my first time at Oakwell and I was very pleased with my first visit! They not only were great to my Baxter, but they also gave me an estimate of my cost and let me pick and choose what I wanted done that day before paying. I will be coming back for appointments and recommending Oakwell to family and friends! Thank you for being so great with Baxter!
My cat, Coco, underwent a spaying procedure yesterday, and I am pleased to report that it went more smoothly than anticipated. Today, she is recovering wonderfully. The staff demonstrated exceptional care and professionalism, and I am deeply grateful for their efforts. I intend to continue bringing Coco and my other cat, Nyla, to this facility for their veterinary needs. Nyla will be scheduled for her spaying procedure next.
THANK YOU, Dr. Manis, Dr. Sims, and the whole Oakwell Team for SAVING MISS MAUDE'S LIFE!!! Miss Maude is a medically complex senior dog (heart failure, kidney failure, and Cushing's Disease). Miss Maude has had several health emergencies, where we thought we were going to lose her. But each time, Oakwell has provided top-notch care and advocacy. They have contacted specialists, submitted our pet insurance forms, referred us to UT when Maude needed additional support, worked round the clock, and always gone above and beyond. Dr. Manis and the whole team love Miss Maude as if they were her own, it's clear in their words and the care they provide. Because of Oakwell, Maude has been able to enjoy veggies from our garden, belly rubs, another Halloween, day trips, doggy ice cream, and so many other memories we did not think we'd get to make with her. She is doing so well she has even been running "laps" around our house for exercise! Thank you, Oakwell, WE LOVE YOU!
