(from Google)I had to bring my sweet 13 yr old Yorkie in to be Euthanized. The staff were so compassionate and supportive. They brought in a big box of treats full of treats, like oreo cookies, turkey jerky, chocolate, popcorn with marshmallow and chocolate drizzle for my dog to enjoy before the end. For such an emotionally devastating experience for a pet owner, it made me happy that she was able to eat all the stuff she was never allowed in 13 years. Then I received the nicest card from the doctor afterwards. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Hailey Duvall for making the hardest day a little bit brighter. ❤️
Our family recently adopted a 5 month old kitten from another family. After 24 hours at home we could clearly see that something was not right. Evergreen Veterinary Hospital was great. They returned our call as soon as an opening was avaliable, and they were able to see our new cat within 2 hours. They were able to confirm our suspicions quickly, and delivered the toughest news very professionally and with a great deal of support. This was the first time our 6 year old daughter would experience this kind of disappointment and I felt that the approach that their team took was exactly what we needed in that moment. We received a card in the mail several days later, which was greatly appreciated. Our family is very greatful for the support we received from Evergreen, and we will certainly be back in the future.
Our appointment was scheduled for 1 PM for ‘new patients’. We aren’t new clients but our pups are so we were told to come at 12:45 for paperwork (understandable). We were immediately put in an examination room. We waited without anyone checking-in for more than a half hour. The tech was great—kind, playful, upbeat. BUT she gave our dogs rich treats without consent, even though we told her that they have sensitive tummies and have had diarrhea lately. She weighed them and asked a few simple questions, less than 5 minutes total with the tech. After another 30 minutes of waiting, the Vet came in. No apology, no “thank you for waiting”. Her attitude was completely different, almost like we were a burden. By this time, we were frustrated but we were patient and kind knowing that these things can happen. Instead of having heart-to-heart communication with us however, the Vet asked a few questions, didn’t really pet the pups, sort of examined them but didn’t tell us what she was doing, then started listing off services that we “needed to do” including pet insurance (not anything about the service though), and “definitely training” (they’re 10 weeks old and have been in training but most pets struggle at the vet, especially puppies with new people). She very obviously didn’t talk to the tech before talking to us or she would’ve known that the pups have already had one vaccine and two dewormers. If she’d talked to the tech or looked at their chart(s), she would not have recommended that we start with the vaccine/dewormers they’ve already had. She then told us she would go get prices for the services we “needed”. Now we’d been in this tiny room for over an hour and one of our potty training puppies has an accident, always a little bit of a setback (NOT pup’s fault at all). Both dogs are whining lots, exhausted, and very antsy. The pups REALLY want to leave…as do we. Everything took FAR longer than it should. We had to cut the appointment ‘short’—somewhere else we had to urgently be—and were told to call back tomorrow. I paid $175 for that appointment and feel quite upset. My time was wasted, my young pups are fatigued, and I’m not entirely sure what I paid so much for. I won’t be coming back. A first experience usually sets the mood for me. I wish we’d had a much better experience.
You can absolutely tell the people who work there love your animals and take very good care of them. All the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Super friendly folks. Very happy with the care they gave our new pet.
My beautiful girl Olivia got spayed here and they did such a fantastic job. The wound from the surgery looked like the best I’ve ever seen out of all the cats I’ve gotten fixed throughout the years. Now that she’s all healed, you can’t even see where the wound was. She has minimal to no scarring. They treated her so well, I will definitely be bringing her back for needed future appointments.
