Dr. Ponce was so receptive to my concerns and incredibly practical with recommendations. When explaining things there was no unnecessary upselling or pressure, just clear information about what actually made sense for my dog. It’s refreshing to find a vet who listens and focuses on what’s best for your pet.

The staff is nice. Dr. Ponce is wonderful. They have an excellent imaging specialist in Dr. Gibbon. This clinic helped our beloved dog get better. We're very grateful for their support and talents.

My daughter took her dog for neutering, and the clinic failed to communicate the procedure and available options properly. Because her dog is a large breed—a mix of Saint Bernard and poodle—they overlooked the need to remove the entire part, resulting in swelling, pain, and two visits to urgent care. The clinic also lacks an emergency contact number, dismissing my daughter’s concerns as exaggerated, which is false. They clearly lack experience handling large dogs. After speaking with the ER vet, it’s confirmed they didn’t do the procedure correctly. As a result, her dog is suffering unnecessarily over a simple procedure. If you care about your pet’s well-being, DO NOT take your pet here. They are unqualified and mishandled this serious situation. Find a reputable urgent care or after-hours vet that knows what they’re doing, because this place is not it.

I'm currently on cats 3 and 4 that have been patients here, and I'm embarrassed to only just now be reviewing, 22 years later. Today i brought my 5 yr old litter mates in for routine checkups. They've always been grumpy about the vet but today they chose violence. The "bad cat" gloves came out and there were towel burritos and random urination (by the cats). I was mortified and the staff and vet calmed my embarrassment. I love this clinic. They've always been compassionate. I will never forget their kindness when I had to put down my Masha in March of 2020. I believe their prices are fair...i appreciate the second pet discount. They have my loyalty.

Dr. Ponce and her team took such good care of our indoor / outdoor cat Hopscotch for many years. She treated many conditions from abscesses to diabetes to heart problems. Under her care we were actually able to get him into diabetic remission completely! When it came time for Hopscotch to finish his ninth life her team offered exceptionally compassionate end of life care. And a few weeks later we got a handwritten note with condolences from the whole team. Thank you Avenues Pet Clinic for being such good humans!
