(from Google)My pug had rashes all over her body to the point of losing fur on her legs and neck. She had lived a majority of her life in a cone, and I had taken her to vets all over the valley. As many of you may know, when you take your pet to a new vet clinic, they like to redo most of the tests to make sure they catch everything. Well, all that did was drain my money and only put a band aid over my pug's skin problems as they would offer temporary relief, but her rashes would come back a few days later. My poor puggy spent most of the time scratching herself. On walks, she would throw herself on the sidewalk to intensely scratch her body against the concrete. At nights, she barely got any sleep as she would scratch all night long or attempt to take her cone off to be able to scratch. She was no longer able to sleep on the bed with me as her gross skin flakes would be spread all over me and my bed; that can't be healthy for either of us. I got her CBD dog treats in hopes to get her to relax and maybe sleep at night. Lake City Veterinary Clinic was recommended to me by a friend, more specifically, Dr. Mardis was recommended to me. I went in only expecting a large bill with no solution as I had become accustomed to that, but I was proven wrong the moment Dr. Mardis walked in. He came into the room gently and quietly, quickly gaining trust from my puggy. He sat on the floor to get to her low level and examined her in a non-invasive way; my puggy thought she went in to play, not to be examined! She was given some meds to be given at home, and although what she seems to be an auto-immune condition and may need meds for a very long time, what she was given cleared up most of her rashes. Her fur grew back on her legs. She began sleeping throughout the night. She enjoyed walks She was allowed back on my bed! The price paid for what she needs is not very cheap, but this is something I do not mind paying as I am actively seeing her get better and enjoy her little pug life. I am so grateful to Dr. Mardis for helping us and to the rest of the vet team who are very kind and welcoming the second you walk into their doors. This team does their work with pride, love, respect, and dignity.
On Friday November 28th my wife took her cat two lakecity veterinary clinic and the doctor told her that her cat has cancer and the doctor gave her some medication for a cat ond December 2nd she's going to have to put down her cat because she's not eating or drinking at all so we both think this was a waste of money and we will never do it again
We've always had a good experience with Dr. Mardis and the team at Lake City. My dog isn't fully compliant with veterinary tasks but they are very patient with him and his big personality. You can tell everyone there genuinely loves animals. I like that they take him into another room for his shots because I think he is calmer when he doesn't feel protective of me and honestly, he kinda holds grudges, so it's better for our relationship if he doesn't associate me with getting shots. If they can provide such high quality care to an unreasonable and very stubborn 75lb heeler mix, I think that says a lot about their skills and dedication. Plus, the new office location is nice.
This clinic is outstanding :) clean, well organized, and run by a team that truly cares. Every visit with my two cats and dog has been smooth, efficient, and stress-free. The staff are kind, genuine, and clearly dedicated to their patients. I always leave feeling confident my pets are in the best hands.
I am a new patient. My sweet dog, Dot, had an unexpected allergic reaction to her vaccines, and the way the team handled it was nothing short of extraordinary. Every person we interacted with was kind, responsive, and clearly cared deeply about the animals and their people. I especially want to recognize Elliot at the front desk, who was not only compassionate and calming during a scary moment, but also incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful. Their kindness and intelligence helped reassure me and made the entire experience feel much less overwhelming. Elliot is a true gem and they deserve a raise and all the recognition for the work they do. Thank you treating Dot like one of your own and for being a place that truly sees and supports both pets and their humans.
