(from Google)It was a nice space when I needed one. Not too many distractions to to occupy my mind. The boardwalk is nice I enjoyed myself while here.
Beautiful visited about a month ago got some beautiful pictures, if you plan on staying out there for more than just a walk around recommend bug spray
This one has two short trails and there is a little bit of boardwalk. The trails were only a little tiny bit soggy in some places. But not bad at all. I can see that if it had rained that same day maybe it’s not the best place to go. There is one trail that you can walk towards the end and then it has like a picnic table, and you can see to the water. And then the other one goes to a boardwalk which overlooks a pond area, but that one’s pretty grown up with foliage and it’s hard to see the water. I did really like the trails overall and it’s a nice place to go if you need a quick breakand quick nature.
Mother’s Day was a treat with my kids. We had overcast skies and a nice breeze. There were critters out there if you look and/or listened. Pond apples leave beautiful peels that look like flower petals from the fruits. We saw Gulf Fritillaries, Black Swallowtail, Florida White, and White Peacock butterflies.
A beautiful spot for a nice walk, but if you’re looking for a nature walk and thinking about driving more than 10 minutes to get here, it’s not worth it (unless you kayak). The good: beautiful boardwalk and natural scenery. If you like looking at wetland plants, it’s nice and ecologically diverse. The not so good: I-75 is right next door and the interstate noise overwhelms the location to the point of annoyance. Major power lines cut through the park. Other notes: it’s dog friendly. Lee County needs more nature parks that are dog friendly. It’s also got a nice little kayak landing. Probably a good little spot if you’re trying to get on the water.
