(from Google)May 24, 2026 Sunday, Fletcher and I went on a walk at John Taylor Park, the trails were flooded after the storm ⛈️ last night, but overall it was a beautiful and peaceful walk. We got to see 8 alligators 🐊 in total and tons of different birds 🐦
A really pretty park in the heart of Largo, with a nice lake in the middle, a well maintained disc golf course, walking/jogging trails, playgrounds, picnic tables, etc. Just a nice place to spend a quiet, peaceful afternoon in nature.
Nice trail that isn’t too long. I did see alligators there after checking out other parks for the past week. If you’re on a search to see one this is a good spot. We saw 5. Look carefully, 3/5 were hiding pretty well. We saw 3 bigger alligators and 2 that were smaller.
This park is awesome. Lots and lots of parking spots. A wonderful walking trail around Taylor lake. Lots of clean restrooms. Fun clean safe playgrounds for the children. Lots and lots of space. Inspirational wildlife. A very peaceful park. I love bringing my dogs there for fun walks. There are gators in this park so be mindful when walking to steer clear of the brush around the lake.
This is one of my favorite parks. Saw a bunch of bunnies when we were there today. Counted 12 of them. It’s a mile loop around the lake. It has a brand new playground for the kids. Overall, a great park day. It’s missing a little library though.
