(from Google)It is family oriented. Very clean. I love to fish with my boys after sunset. I have my after dark pass, 30 dollars each between Apollo Beach preserve and EG Simmons park. Very fun, dog friendly, and absolutely some of the best sunsets to enjoy. Everyday is a new and always beautiful display. 😍
One of my favorite memory spots! From a little girl to an adult fishing. Such a nice place to visit. Sad they changed it. Our favorite spot was over by the plant (Teco) good fishing!!
A peaceful outpost by the water, this place is—strong with coastal calm and birdlife, it is. Herons, pelicans, and other winged sentinels patrol the shoreline, making it a pleasant stop for a quiet walk or a pause to watch the bay. The observation tower is well built and offers a nice elevated perspective, though nearby houses do interrupt what could have been a more sweeping view. The breeze is steady, the light is warm, and the sunset almost reaches its full potential. Important this is, Padawans: no swimming is allowed here. Clear signage warns of strong currents, boating traffic, and rocky drop-offs—this is a place to observe the water, not challenge it. One final note for sunset seekers: the park closes exactly when the sun dips below the horizon, so you’ll miss those deeper, dramatic after-sunset colors. Arrive early, plan wisely, and enjoy the moment you’re given. Overall, a calm and worthwhile stop for birdwatching, bay views, and a short visit—best enjoyed with good timing and respect for the rules.
Small, clean, dog friendly park with short nature trails and a nice observation tower. There is no swimming allowed. It's possible to spot manatee although I didn't see any when I was there. Worth a visit if in the area.
