(from Google)We are extremely disappointed with our recent experiences with Dr. Ritchie and Aspen Arbor. My 7-year-old Shih Tzu was clearly traumatized after being poorly handled in their care. He was taken to the back, swaddled, and muzzled for ear plucking—something no other vet has ever deemed necessary for him. A tech returned to the room asking if I wanted a picture of him in that state. I took the photo in the moment, not realizing how upsetting the experience truly was for him, and I regret that now because the change in his behavior since then has been obvious and significant. When I returned to discuss his behavioral changes, Dr. Ritchie took no accountability. Instead, she searched for any explanation other than the handling he experienced in her office, and ultimately referred us to a veterinary behaviorist. When I later made an appointment for a routine checkup, she continued to push the same suggestion, despite it being unrelated to the visit, and then recommended I should seek care elsewhere if I wasn’t willing to follow that advice. Additionally, during the year and a half we were patients there, Dr. Ritchie frequently pushed additional testing and referrals to specialists that often felt exaggerated or unnecessary. Overall, our trust has been broken, and we can no longer recommend this clinic based on the care and lack of accountability we experienced.
So glad I ended up going here! The vets are very kind, compassionate & considerate. I was worried about my pup and they took the time to properly examine her and run some movement tests to check out her injury. They were supportive and gave me multiple care options for my dogs sake and my wallets sake. I really like this vet and feel like I’m getting a better quality of care than I’ve gotten anywhere else around here.
I highly recommend Aspen Arbor. I was amazing at the hospitality and very relieved at the ability to stay with my dogs. I have 2 English bulldogs and they are very well versed in what is needed. They did a great exam on both my boys and taught me a new cleaning technique. I needed a vet as my vet moved, right away Aspen Arbor got my old vet to send over records on my 1.5 year old and got him caught up on shots. Their prices were very reasonable as well and the vet made sure to do the things she had to do on that visit so I could get charge less for follow up shots with a tech. Very much appreciated that they are looking out to save me a dollar instead of trying to charge me more. Very happy with this vet, as customer who has been to a half dozen vets and researched many across the Denver west metro area over 10 years, I felt comfortable and welcomed here. The scheduling ability is very user friendly. I really like this vet and this is our local vet for shots and daily health needs. Also the area the vet is in is really cute and is all pet friendly, doggie swim place, groomer/bath place, treat place. Really pet utopia!
A neighbor recommended we contact Aspen Arbor for our new puppy’s wellness. Dr. Ravji and the team at Aspen Arbor made Rocky and us feel at home. So glad we found them and would definitely recommend them for your pet’s care.
We switched to Aspen Arbor a couple of years ago, then moved to Brighton. Here is a few reasons I will drive 45 minutes. Everyone is friendly and professional. Begining at the time you make your appointment, to moment you walk in the doors, see the doctor, and check out. I have a elderly dog and Dr. Quinn Neil has been amazing! Not really knowing how much longer my guy has, it's nice not being treated that way. Taking the time to write an extensive email explaining test results and addressing my concerns. On top of calling and leaving a very empathetic voice mail message about my different options on if and when my dog's health declines. I so much appreciate her honesty with a caring touch. So this why I have not found a vet closer to my home, it's worth every mile. Thank you. Emily Riley
