Kumo Rooftop

This is our 3rd time dinning at Kumo and we keep coming back because of how spectacular the food and ambiance are. We made reservations at sunset and partially enjoyed the beach view. The prawns and the duck leg chaufa are the stars of the show. The prawns are grilled over an open fire bringing depth to the flavors. The chaufa is salty, crunchy and just a touch sweet because of the orange sauce . Highly recommend to any couples/small-mid sized groups for an amazing experience! Please note that even if it is raining they have rain shades in place so that guests may continue to enjoy their evening!

You need to make a reservation or you will not be able to get a table. They don't take phone reservations, they don't even answer the phone and you can't leave a message because the vm is full. The rooftop location is beautiful, it has a nice breeze, and the view is fantastic. The food is a fusion of Puertorican, Peruvian, and Asian foods. Most of it is served tapas style. For instance the dumplings of the day, which no one told us what we ended up eating was a 4 dumplings portion. The shrimp option only has 2. They should also note which dishes have aioli or mayo. The King Pegao did not specify aioli, so we had to pay for an additional one without it. The pork belly could've used a bot more cooking. The fat was almost gelatinous if that makes sense. The pumpkin dish with feta cheese, and the Brussels sprouts were pretty good. The burrata comes with 2 pieces of bread, since there were 4 of us we asked for 2 additional pieces which came way before we actually got the burrata.

Very good food, lovely spot overlooking the ocean, delightful cocktails, great service. My only complaint is the price/value for the dishes and the fact the “wagu” was absolutely not wagu. It’s was an ok strip steak at best.

We enjoyed our dinner at Kumo. The views are amazing and the cocktails are superb. After a slightly confusing start, we were eventually seated. I thought the food was fine, but maybe not quite good enough at this price level. This would be a perfect place to visit at sunset to enjoy a cocktail.

A destination restaurant. Kumo Rooftop has a spectacular view of the Isla Verde beachfront. Beautiful. We had been on the island for a week and we were in search of something special for the evening. My brother mentioned a rooftop bar/restaurant in Isla Verde. I searched the Isla Verde area for a rooftop bar and found Kumo Rooftop just a little over 100 feet away. Wow! From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, the weight staff made as the center of attention. We had a reservation, so we were seated immediately. Moments later, I had a very generous Wine card in my hands. Perfect. The food was simply spectacular. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was delicious. I could’ve ordered four helpings of the chef’s choice dumplings! Luckily, I did not because I would’ve missed the Pincanha Waghu. Every bite was decadent. The restaurant itself is very modern and appearance, comfortable, yet very classy. Perfect for any special occasion. Or just come on up and hang out at the bar and enjoy the spectacular views. As I mentioned before, the wait staff is very helpful and professional. Our entrées were never rushed, and we were never made to feel like we had to hurry. Yes, Kumo Rooftop is a popular restaurant. I definitely recommend making a reservation. Thank you to the wait staff of Kumo Rooftop for an excellent evening.
