(from Google)Set in an urban area amongst neighborhoods this is a lovely wooded area for a quiet walk. You will find dogs walking their people, families, bikers, joggers and twenty somethings on the trail.
Part of the Theodore Roosevelt Area of the Timucuan Preserve. It's nice walk through the woods, wide enough for dogs and bikes. But continue past the cabin ruins to the Round Marsh overlook.
The fist half mile ends in a short loop, with options for moderate hilly, more narrow terrain, connecting to 3 other trails, with scenic overlooks, and occasional benches to rest. Small cemetery on site.
A little too much foot traffic to see much wildlife, but the views of the marsh are amazing.
Nice trail! From what I can tell though there is a significant amount of poison ivy on the ground. Hopefully I'm wrong. Be careful!
